I was really surprised to see a very astonishing website. It’s called AKA Mobile Directory. As the name has it, the site is a directory of people, product, services, organizations, interest and a whole lot more and is very much accessible and can be searched using SMS messaging by Philippine mobile networks!

Well, it really sounded so tricky to me at first because I am not an avid user of any mobile and web interface but when they started mentioning that you can do blogging using my mobile phone and/or can update my FaceBook status, I am beginning to realize how wonderful the site is. Aside from that, it’s like having a search engine inside any brand or model of mobile phone as long as it’s from any of the local networks in the Philippines.

The SMS search engine is still in its beta phase and the registration is FREE! You can list yourself, your products and services and this will make it searchable using SMS for everyone to find. AKA Mobile Directory is using a Sun Cellular mobile number as their portal. So same rates apply when you use the system but of course, if you using Sun Cellular’s unlimited texting, then you can use the mobile directory in limitless ways!
