It was last March 2011 when I booked my family’s flight for Manila; we decided that we will celebrate my son’s 8th birthday at Star City and Manila Ocean Park. Then when April 2011 came, the First PMC Grand Eyeball transpired and we felt that we moms deserve to have another one! So we have decided to have another Grand Eyeball just in time when my family and I are in Manila. The date was set – November 22, 2011!!

Months flew fast and preparations were made! When the day came, everything was just awesome!! It was a huge success! 48 moms from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and moms from Canada, Germany and the US graced the event!! I met a lot of moms for the first time! It was indeed a blissful day!

Though the PMC Second Grand Eyeball started late because our flight was delayed due to air traffic, the program went smoothly. The event was divided into two parts. The first part was to acknowledge our generous sponsors who gave all moms including me with awesome products that were very useful for us, our children and even for our homes!

Our generous major sponsors were…

Smart Steps – is a line of mild & safe products specifically formulated for babies. Clinically proven safe & effective, Smart Steps truly understand a mother’s need for their babies. They gave out sample of their products which are indeed useful for washing my baby’s clothes.

Unilab – one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the Philippines who is very close to our family’s heart since we are users of their products from multivitamins and medicines both for adults and children. Our home medicine drawers and personal medicine pouch contain products from them. So I was so glad when they gave out products from Multivitamins Enervon, Diatabs, Rashfree and even loot bags from their famous brands such as Ceelin (my children’s best Vitamin C supplement) and Dolan (pain reliever for kids).

Our minors sponsors made me smile so big as well, they have up sample products that are so very useful that even my husband and my children were so ecstatic!

Procter and Gamble gave us Ariel Stain Lift powder and Pampers Diapers in which both are brands are common in our household.

Scotch-Brite gave us a lot of cleaning pads! We normally use their common cleaning pads but I was so surprised of the other cleaning pads they have; especially the anti-bacterial scrub sponge which made first on our kitchen sink!

Umami gave a loot bag filled with seasonings that made my husband very happy. He likes to experiment when cooking so he owned them all.

Avon, the company close to moms (as a business and beauty company) has items raffled. I didn’t win any but still I am happy that some of the moms got beauty products to take home!

Drypers, one of the diaper brands that I trust gave Drypers Weewee Dry Diapers, Libresse products and 1000 pesos worth of McDonalds Gift Certificate.

Ainon, one of the trusted companies for baby accessories gave two strollers. We didn’t raffled the items but decided to donate it on PMC’s Charity Event that will be held next year.

Friends from Geiser-Maclang gave all moms a box of Krispy Kreme Donuts and a t-shirt featuring the people’s champ Manny Pacquaio for Alaxan.

Richwell, the company that distributes HotWheels, Barbie and others, gave out toys too as items to be raffled for moms. The kids were so happy!!

Grendha gave great pairs from their line to some lucky moms! Goldquest Biotechnologies gave out unique ballpens and sent some cash to support the PMC Second EB funds.

And to capture wacky and unique moments, Krazy Pix Photo Booth graced the event and sponsored the whole session of photo booth captures of all attendees.

And of course, the PMC Cake courtesy of Project Happiness Bakehouse!!

And of course, the second part was the traditional token-giving of PMC moms and bonding time!

Blogging in Mountainous Area??

My husband and I have been talking about moving to a less polluted environment. With that in mind, we wanted to move to the mountainous area. We are eying on a place outside our city where my husband’s parents have a small milling shop. My husband thought that since he has no work yet, maybe he could watch over the shop and do the business while I continue my blogging career.

Unfortunately, if we decide to move there, we have one main problem. The area doesn’t have an internet connection. No local company can provide us there. Yes, we can have all the electricity we have but not internet service providers.

Well, the thought of finding suitable satellite internet providers came to mind too, but the problem is we don’t have one here. We don’t have satellite internet providers like BusinessCom in the US who is known to be one of the best in the industry. They can provide whatever internet connections you may need even if your house or business is found in a remote area.

Anyway, I am hoping that someday a satellite internet provider will be available here in our city. It that day comes, I am sure my children will be running along abundant greeneries and breathing fresh air. And probably, my children will live an asthma-free life!!

Transferred to a Sub-domain

Most of my blogger friends who knew me very well know that I am a domainaholic. I have more than 100 domains in my possession and if a promo comes my way, I am still itching to buy one. And if a one dollar GoDaddy coupon code is given to me right now, I can assure you, I will still buy a domain. LOL!!

I am not talking about buying domains right now but I am going to share to you a sudden turn of events. I have created several sub-domains!! And not only that, I migrated posts from previous “domained” blogs to these sub-domains. Yes, I have decided to let go some of the domains I owned.

Well, they are not earning blogs. I call them vanity blogs. I blog on them out of the love of blogging but now I have decided to abandon these domains and transfer them to my newly created sub-domains. Why? Since they are vanity blogs and I am not earning from them, might as well transfer them to sub-domains and then giveaway or sell the domain blogs who might need it (mind you, they have page ranks). Right?

Anyway, before I forget, let me introduce them to you…

As for the domains that have been stripped of contents, I might be selling them or make it a prize on my future giveaway. What do you think?

Lost My Passion for Blogging

Yes… it’s been awhile since I felt that I have lost my love for blogging and particularly posting on this blog and the other pioneer blogs of mine. I felt that blogging have become a responsibility and not because of passion anymore. For me, blogging felt like work. Though I don’t have a boss, I felt that I should boss myself around because if I don’t my family will be left hungry and needs unmet.

Now, crazy as it seems, I have been blogging but not here or any of my old blogs. I have been doing it at my other blogs whom I fondly call vanity blogs. Why vanity blogs? Because they are not earning blogs, all I do is spend money on it (domain, hosting and makeover) but not getting anything in return. If I were a business man, I would have been a total failure. LOL!!

Anyway, I don’t know what prompted me but I have decided to bring back my first love… not only blogging as in blogging alone but I decided that I should bring the passion back in posting in my old blog… particularly in this blog – Pinay Mommy Online. I felt that I owe this blog a lot and I should not neglect it and even the others… yes… I am posting but sometimes, though it is hard to admit but I have been posting without passion and sometimes they are not my thoughts…

As I recalled, I always post with passion and excitement. My posts were ranging from 150 to 1500 words and creativity was always there (based on my own standards). There were no days that I didn’t post and in some days, I posted more than once and even up to 5 times!

I want that back! I want that passion back! I want to be zealous not motivated by money but motivated by the love of blogging, my friends, my readers and my visitors… I want myself back!

Blog Loading So Slow

Call me OC but lately, I have noticed that my blog is loading so slowly. Some said that the loading of my blog is like curtains falling slowly in theaters. For some, with lightning speed connections, the loading is OK. But as for me, it was like so forever and I am not happy.

And because of this, I decided to make a drastic change. First, I deactivated 16 out of my 32 plugins installed but nothing happened. Second, I decided to ask my friend and web designer, Mommy Carlota of Simple Blog Makeover, to change my theme (Now, it’s so awesomely cute! Thank you so much!) and still nothing happened. And finally, just a few minutes ago, I deleted some widgets that I can live if they are not in my blog and still nothing happened!!

So, what do you think could be the problem? Is it that I am so OC with the loading part of my blog or my internet connection is just so slow?

Influence of a Fashion Blog

I used to think that a fashion blog is as useful to me as a lava lamp. I mean it’s nice to look at, but then it is inept. Those were my thoughts then. I think I have to retract what I have pondered after checking out several fashion blogs.

There are a number of influential fashion blogs that I can mention. From the street and personal style of trendsetters around the world, to behind the curtain looks at the people who create and shape the fashion industry – and of course the bloggers who stay on top of who’s wearing what, and where to buy it. If you’d ask me what the best fashion blog is, all I can say is best is subjective, but it’s certainly the best measure of global style influence to date.

Pressured to Write

As you all know, I have been very busy writing a lot of wrinkle creams review. I need to finish them all before next week because I am planning to go out of town. :airplane: And since I don’t have a laptop, I won’t be able to be online for almost three to four days. Maybe I could be online through my mobile phone but I could not necessarily write articles on it. :cell:

Anyway, these are those days that I really wished that I had a laptop so that I won’t be pressured on accomplishing too many things before I go out of town. I want a laptop so that I could go mobile blogging anywhere anytime!

Can someone give me a laptop? Santa, I have been a good girl you know!

For those who are not bloggers, why you say? Well, having dark circles under our eyes is something we have all in common.
