Our 3 Days and 2 Nights Family Vacation in Manila

Last November 22 – 24, 2011, my family and I went to Manila to celebrate my son and my husband’s birthday aside from the Pinay Mommies Community Second Grand Eyeball and the Postcrossing Enthusiasts Grand Eyeball. We booked our flight last March 2011 and were fortunate enough to avail of the Cebu Pacific Air Piso Fare Promo. I paid around 3500+ pesos for a round trip ticket for the whole family.

During our stay in Manila, we temporarily resided at the Gran Prix Hotel & Suites Manila. So far the place was clean and the price was budget-friendly. The staff were also accommodating though I had a hard time calling them prior to our date of check-in. The place was very ideal for us because we have plans of visiting Manila Ocean Park and Star City, both attractions were near.

My family had a great time in Manila despite the fact that our youngest daughter fell ill on the first day while our eldest on the last day (I think the weather came as a shock to them). They had a blast when we visited Star City. We enjoyed the family rides and games. My son won a little stuffed toy and I felt so proud of him. There were all smiles from children and also to my husband.

Sunglasses for Them Too

When I visited Novo in Bacolod City late last year, I saw a lot of baby and children’s sunglasses being sold. Since I went there to get one for myself, I decided to buy the children too. In that particular store, you don’t see original nike sunglasses being displayed, only the cheap ones and they are sold at 50 pesos apiece.

Mothers Day is Just Around the Corner

In less than two months, more than half the world will be celebrating Mothers Day. In fact, it will be celebrated in exactly 54 days, 2 hours and 6 minutes as I am writing this. With roughly that many days until Mothers Day I’m quite sure that you’re already looking for the perfect gift for your mothers. It’s only but right to give our mothers the best gift possible to show our appreciation for everything they have done for us. (more…)

Some Bonding Moments

Thanks to my job, I can stay at home, do it, and still have time for my kids. Sometimes, we just stay at home, play a game, or watch TV. Or we get to the floor and play with some rather space consuming toys. Or we get on the best and have a wrestling match and shout with glee to our hearts’ desire. Our neighbors don’t seem to mind.

Family Outings

I think that family outings and fun activities where each family member is involved is one of the key ingredients to having a family and kids who will grow up to be well balanced adults. And I think it is such a good thing for children to have memories of their childhood because they too will reflect what kind of growing up they had. This is then passed on to the next generation and another generation of happy children is raised. (more…)
