I am not a good singer but when it comes to singing lullabies for my children, I tend to make-up anything as the moment requires. But there are several songs that I have for them. Songs that expresses what my heart has for them. One of these songs is entitled “When I See You Smile” by Bad English.

This song was memorable for me because it was the song I kept in my heart when my husband left me for another woman several years ago. I was faced with so many problems that I wanted to give up but when I see my children smile, I get to have the strength to face the world and fight!

Until now, this is the song that inspires me to continue and be strong for my children, no matter what.

Since he couldn’t express what he feels, he expressed his feelings through this song. At first, I didn’t know that it was a song until he told me to look and listen to it at YouTube. He said look for the song After All These Years by Journey. So, I did what he said. While listening to the song, tears fell from my eyes. I was already crying like river. It made me realize that my husband was proud of me and he loved me after all these years.

After that day, I complain less if hubby doesn’t express that much. I just wait until he wants to open up. And believe me, it made our relationship a little better each day.

Unlike today, many contest platforms have emerged to give unsigned talents an opportunity to showcase their ability. Contests like Philippine Idol, Pinoy Big Brother, and now MTV Emerge which have started recently. MTV emerge is a MTV, Jeepney Music, and Department of Tourism collaboration. They have put this up for Filipino talents to showcase their art of music in different genre. All participants will be subject to public voting. I went and voted for RapNoPhobia who raps from the island of Mindanao. It looks like they have a great talent and deserves to have a break. Based on their entry, they really worked hard to attain it. So after a few days, he was able to get an MP3 file of the song Lucky from his friend and later admitted that indeed Jason Mraz was not singing alone. LOL!! Anyway, this song became our favorite because my hubby and I started as best friends. We really liked this song very much.
