Hosting a party sounds exciting, but how stressful could it be? As the date draws closer, you could not help but worry about so many things. Apart from the menu, you should also be thinking about whether or not your food would be enough for the people coming, the food presentation, the decors, and so many other things.

Perhaps it’s time to look into tailgating ideas. Tailgate party ideas are just brilliant, whether you are planning a simple cookout with friends or a formal, intimate gathering with closest family and friends.

Times like these, you need the help of experts and nobody does it better than tailgate!

Going Back to the Corporate World

I am seriously contemplating on whether or not I should get a job this year. I have been working online over the last couple of years, which is actually our bread and butter now. Going back to the corporate world has many advantages, but to be a stay-at-home mom with my online job suits me fine, too. It’s a matter of just making a choice—something that I would not regret later.

There are actually a couple of job choices I have in mind. Some are not in line with the degree I finished, but something that I could do. I have an Engineering degree, I don’t mind working in a company which requires my engineering skills. I am not sure if I could operate a heavy equipment with all those DFTCorp.com hydraulic hose, though.

But who knows? I could always try.

My Hometown Should Be Called Metro Cagayan de Oro

Since our family moved back here in my hometown last summer, I could not help but be amazed of the progress it incurred for the past 6 to 7 years that I was gone. Everywhere I look, I can see many steel building rising up – malls, hotels and other businesses. And by the time I left Cagayan de Oro City, there were only two bridges. Now there are five!

My hometown, Cagayan de Oro City, is booming in progress. When I left, I heard it is already earning billions of pesos in taxes and with all the business establishments I see now, I couldn’t question why I am seeing a lot of new bridges, skyways (though not that tall) and other improvements within the city (not to mention, the new international airport they are building and the City Hall is still under renovation)!

So, just like what I said in my blog post title, my hometown should be officially called Metro Cagayan de Oro!

Travel Agent Job

One of my classmates in high school is currently working as a marketing manager of a Palawan-based travel agency. He once offered me to avail a Puerto Princesa Underground River tour. Well, if I had the money, I would have availed it immediately but since the budget is tight, I declined.

After declining, he offered me one of the Travel Agent Jobs they have. He said, I can work as a travel agent for their package tours and earn a few bucks from commissions. The offer is very appealing and honestly, I am thinking of availing it and place it on my travel blog. What do you think??

A Dream Car

I wonder what it like is to drive my own car. Oh, well… I guess there are more concerns that I have to attend to right now than dreaming of a car. Besides, I guess owning a car would also mean that I have to allot money for vehicle repairs and its maintenance costs. So maybe I have to forget that driving my own car thing—but of course I cannot keep the kids from dreaming of having our own ride someday. For starters, they look at photos of cars, including sports cars and rzr parts. Well, I am glad that a dream is sparked in them. Maybe that car will come in due time after all.

Blogging in Mountainous Area??

My husband and I have been talking about moving to a less polluted environment. With that in mind, we wanted to move to the mountainous area. We are eying on a place outside our city where my husband’s parents have a small milling shop. My husband thought that since he has no work yet, maybe he could watch over the shop and do the business while I continue my blogging career.

Unfortunately, if we decide to move there, we have one main problem. The area doesn’t have an internet connection. No local company can provide us there. Yes, we can have all the electricity we have but not internet service providers.

Well, the thought of finding suitable satellite internet providers came to mind too, but the problem is we don’t have one here. We don’t have satellite internet providers like BusinessCom in the US who is known to be one of the best in the industry. They can provide whatever internet connections you may need even if your house or business is found in a remote area.

Anyway, I am hoping that someday a satellite internet provider will be available here in our city. It that day comes, I am sure my children will be running along abundant greeneries and breathing fresh air. And probably, my children will live an asthma-free life!!

Upgraded Dental Chairs

I have noticed that most dental clinics here in our place have astonishing dental chairs. I think high-tech is more like it. I think most dentists have upgraded to the best there is because of tight competition. I think they felt the urge of having the nicest and most comfortable dental chairs to add up on their abilities as dentists to get more clients. Well, I won’t blame them.

Anyway, I am not sure if there are discount dental equipment shops here in our city because of all of these upgrades happening. And because of this, I felt that maintaining my braces would mean more $$$ for me. Aside from that, I need a lot of dental fixing. Waaahhh!!

Personalized Gifts

I have been searching for personalized gifts online. It seems that giving something personalized has become a hit that even rosaries for Catholic friends are already being made by some stores. I think people find it very attractive especially if the recipient sees herself/himself (photo) or their names on the said gift.

How about you guys do you love personalized gifts? Do you love to give and receive one? For me personally, I do love personalized gifts! I love receiving them too!!

Shiny Ride

A friend of mine once related that she was working for a project at a local business. She was supposed to pass by a mall before going home but the owner of the business offered to give her a ride in his chauffeured car.

Her main thought was—free ride!

When she went out of the car in front of the entrance of the mall, she noticed that all eyes were on her. When she closed the door, that was when she realized that the people were actually looking at the shiny, silver Audi that she was riding on. She never realized that she was riding on a premium car and stepping on audi quattro custom floor mats! Haha

She said she looked like a maid riding in that car. LOL

Reminiscing My College Life

Back in college, I took up Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. I graduated the five year course but was not able to take the board exam because I already passed the “certified mommy” title. LOL!! Anyway, I am not going to talk about my course but I shall reminiscence my college life and share it with you all. Now, cover your ears… but open your eyes!

As an engineering student, you don’t expect me to be wearing any classy dress. I always wear a t-shirt and a buggy jeans (yeah, those super loose jeans!). So every time I go to another department to take my elective and minor classes there, I was always amazed on how other students dress up. While I was passing by the HRM (hotel and restaurant management), I saw a female student wearing a formal and classy dress while holding a soda siphon and bar tending in front of her professor. She was preparing a concoction of sparkling refreshments and cocktails while wearing a dress! She even inserted soda chargers while preparing drinks. Can’t believe it! It was pretty amazing!

Anyway, I was really amazed that I didn’t even notice that I was already late for class. When I went into our classroom, I started daydreaming what would my life be if I have taken another course. And… of course, as years pass, I didn’t end up as a bar tender but an under board civil engineering graduate making money from home! No titles… but yes… I am just plain happy with my kids! :yes:
