Since I am no expert in parenting, I have many apprehensions about myself. I fear that I will become an epic fail. Though there are a lot of books about how to handle a teenager but theory is relatively different from real life. There is no handbook on how to react on every parenting situation!

As of now, my eldest girl is starting to change. Aside from her physical changes, her interests have evolved from toys and games to kawaii drawings, digital micrometers, colored pens, diaries, polymer clays, origami and others! Yes, she is more on creative things nowadays. She prefers getting stuffs where she could creative cute things from rather than dolls. Well, I don’t complain much on her preferences. I believe what she wants is far more compelling than early usage of make-ups or chasing after boys. LOL!!!

This summer, I have promised her that I will enroll her in a summer class that involves polymer clay creations. She wants to learn how to make stuffs from it and I want to support her interests. So far, the only thing I know to do is support her.

Now with growing kids who are obviously as techie as I am, I am preparing myself that by the time they become adults, I would be so lost in their technical terms. But I will try my best to catch up! I wonder if it’s wise to buy my kids a tablet computer for Christmas. They might not be that careful to take care of it yet. Oh, maybe I can have it for myself!

In another segment, they were trying to understand why a tractor would not run. It could be the wheels, the cogs, the bearings, or the engine while all the while singing and dancing. I have not really watched this show because I am busy but I think that these are very nice videos for kids to watch. They talk about good values and friendship, too. Such a great show!

Perhaps the greatest challenge in having children to this very busy, career-oriented world would be how to take care of the kids in such a way that they would grow up to be talented, sociable and smart people with one of the parents not having to give up a career. With the growing needs of the family, it would be a wise idea to have both parents keep their careers.

If you have kids, you would like to think up of activities that will get them interested, give them fun and happy memories, as well as to stimulate their learning. I just told them that I’ll try my best to save some money so that I can send them to the school of music. They both nodded and kept on talking about their plans when they get to learn how to play different musical instruments later. I just enjoyed listening to them.

The fact remains that most parents do have to keep track of their children’s progress in school and help as much as they can. However, when the studies of the children proceed farther to physics, biology, sociology, and other more complex topics, the parent may not be able to handle the problem well enough to succeed. This is where a tutor comes into the picture, because a tutor offers academic enhancement professionally, and in most cases, they would be more knowledgeable in these things compared to the parents who have long ago graduated from college or their respective universities.

But, if I would be blessed to have more financial capacity, I won’t be fickle with my decision. I will buy my children comfortable bedroom sets and another air conditioning unit for them to sleep soundly at night. Aside from bedroom sets, I am also planning to buy them individual study tables and cabinet for their clothes. I want to teach not only independency but also develop independent study habits and responsibilities in taking care of one’s belongings. Not that I am not teaching them right now, but this one is for level ups!

1. Know Your Monthly Cycle. One of the best ways to increase your chances of becoming pregnant is to understand how your monthly cycle works. Every woman is different and in some cases, every cycle is different. Before you conceive, take a few months to chart your cycle from beginning to end. Keep track of the first day of your period and when you ovulate.

This information will help you determine when you are most fertile and when you should be scheduling intercourse. It may not be very romantic to schedule it in, but if you do want to conceive, you have to be able to take advantage of that window of opportunity when it arrives.

2. Predict Your Monthly Ovulation. In order to find that window of opportunity, you have to know when you ovulate. There is a period of five days within each cycle that you are at your most fertile. The three days preceeding ovulation and the day following ovulation. Once you know when this occurs, you can greatly increase the likelihood of fertilization.

Remember that once an egg is released from an ovary, it only has a period of 24 hours when it remains viable. It is vital to make sure that you are having intercourse as close to the date that you ovulate as possible. While you can become pregnant at any time during those five days, it is best to try to time your ovulation and intercourse as closely as possible.

3. Get Healthy Ahead of Time. In order to be at your most fertile, you need to take care of yourself. Start taking prenatal vitamins ahead of time and have yourself looked over by a doctor. If you have noticed any irregularities with your monthly cycles, talk to them about it now. If you have questions about ovulation or learning more about your body, it is important to have these questions answered ahead of time.

Get plenty of rest and practice a healthy lifestyle. Try to remove stress from your life and take good care of your body. You’ll be asking it to undergo a great task over the next nine months and you owe it to yourself and your future child to be as healthy as possible.

Successful conception doesn’t have to be difficult. Although it can take a healthy couple a year to conceive naturally, by paying attention to this advice, you can increase your chances of becoming pregnant in less time. Remember, if you don’t conceive right away, don’t get disheartened. Just keep trying and barring any fertility issues you should be able to conceive a happy and healthy baby.
