How to Withdraw Funds from Your Paypal Account?

From my previous post on my Simple Share Tutorials, I have shared how to add a bank account to your Paypal. Now, I am going to share to you how to withdraw funds from your PayPal account to your registered bank.

1. Go to https://www.PayPal.com and login to your account.

2. At your account dashboard click “Withdraw.”

3. Type in the details such as the amount and choose the bank account to which you would want your funds to be transferred. After that click “Continue.”

4. You will be taken to a page to confirm the withdrawal details. Review all, if you find it all correct click “Submit” button.

5. Lastly, a confirmation page will appear informing you that the request is being processed and an email will accompany this too.

Points to remember:
1. There is a charge of Php 50.00 if you withdraw funds lower than Php 7,000.00.
2. If you are not sure, use the currency converter found at the page wherein you will type-in the amount details of the funds to be withdrawn (check figure 2).
3. Once the amount arrives at your bank account, you will notice that some banks will deduct 150 to 200 pesos as bank changes except for those that use Unionbank EON Account.

How to ADD a Philippine Bank Account to PayPal?

Let me share to you my experiences in adding a Philippine bank account at PayPal.

Interested? OK, lets start then…

1. Go to https://www.paypal.com and login to your account.

2. At your account dashboard click “Edit Profile” near your name.

3. Once you are in your Profile Summary, click on “Bank Accounts.”

4. After clicking “Bank Accounts” you will be lead to a page which will lists all the bank accounts that you have added to PayPal. Since you haven’t added one yet, your screen will not show any. In my case, I already have added three banks.

5. Click on the “Add” button at the lower portion of the page.

6. After that, key in all the necessary details asked by PayPal like your bank’s name, it’s bank code and your bank account number. If you have no idea what are the accepted Philippine banks at PayPal and their corresponding bank codes, you can view it here: Philippine Bank Codes for PayPal Use. After typing in the details, click “Continue.”
7. You will be given a summary of all you have typed, review the details. Once everything is correct, click “Add Bank Account.” Be careful about the bank details because once you have encoded the wrong ones and transacted a bank transfer, you will be charge with a penalty.
8. After this, you will be able to view a page that will tell you that you have successfully added a bank account and you will also receive a corresponding email from PayPal informing you of the added bank account.

Experiences with Philippine PayPal Withdrawals

In my search for a more convenient online banking, I have finally finished experimenting three major banks. Just this morning, my latest earning withdrawal has been successfully deposited to my BPI savings account. My first try was with UnionBank’s EON, the second one was with BDO and lastly, with BPI.

Actually, all three banks are convenient when you want to withdraw your earnings from PayPal but not all the three are in terms of online banking. Well, UnionBank’s EON and BPI proved to be useful for me while BDO is very inconvenient. Their process on enrolling your account really takes time and involves many manual procedures. Aside from that, they don’t run automatically with FIREFOX3. You need to download a script so that you can access their online banking site. I might need to give up on my BDO account soon since BPI is a suitable bank for my hubby and I while EON works well online (for me, I think debit cards are much safer than credit cards at least you can control the money you put inside it and since there is no maintaining balance, you can zero it out always). But BDO is more accessible when it comes to offline sites that is why it’s hard too.

Anyway, if you want to withdraw your earning with the following banks, here are their nine digit bank codes:

BANCO DE ORO (& EQUITABLE PCI BANK) = 010530667
BANK OF THE PHIL ISLANDS (BPI) = 010040018
UNION BANK OF THE PHILS (UBP) = 010419995

Paypal for Philippine Online Entrepreneurs

I have been online for many years now. I was so addicted with the internet. I loved to surf, read and even joining all free “get paid to” programs that I came across with. There were a lot of legitimate and good paying programs (meaning until now they exist and many were paid) back then but I was not able to join or pursue since they only accept Paypal as a way to get paid with your commissions. But for short, I was not able to pursue all those that I have joined because I only accessed the internet through cafes. I have no direct access at home. Those were the times that I started day dreaming about working at home. Most of those that inspired me were foreigners working at there homes but now, even Filipinos are earning too! Well, enough with history!

When I came across the news that Paypal was now accepting members from the Philippines, I was very happy. Pinoys and Pinays (Philippine-based) can now actually send and receive money over the internet and transact business worldwide. By the way, there is no problem when it comes to funding your Paypal account. You can fund it using your credit cards or even debit cards. As for withdrawals, that’s the most excellent news. You can withdraw money (commissions, remittances or payments) using the debit cards offered by one of our leading local banks. Yup! You can now use Unionbank’s EON Cyber Account both to fund and withdraw money. Of course, there are fees of all sorts but for the sake of online transaction efficiency, safety and convenience, it’s worth the take.

How to connect Paypal with your Unionbank EON Account?

1. First you need to have a Paypal Account. If you don’t have one and plans to do business online or has an existing one, I suggest you sign-up here and get a personal account.

2. After signing with Paypal, visit Unionbank’s Official Website to apply for an EON Cyber Account online. The card can be picked-up after 3 to 5 banking days from the branch where you have nominated to get the card. By the way, when you get your card, make sure you bring 2 valid I.D.s with their photocopies and at least 500 to 1000 pesos for initial deposit (though initial deposit is not required). I will explain later why you need to deposit initially. By the way, don’t forget to sign their hardcopy form so that your account will be activated. This again usually takes 3 to 5 banking days for it to be activated but I suggest you put on your beautiful smile and ask if your account can be activated immediately since your going to link it with your Paypal. I got mine activated the next day.

3. When you have your card and have deposited an initial amount, go back to Unionbank’s Official Website to get your EON Cyber Account enrolled to internet banking. After enrolling your account, it takes 48 hours for you to login and start online banking. You can’t skip this one, so you have to wait.

4. When your account is already active, go back to Paypal and add your EON Cyber Account. Paypal will charge you with $1.95 as an Expanded Use Fee (use to verify your accounts real existence and this is the reason why you need to have an initial deposit). After 5 banking days (since the day you added the card to your Paypal Account), call Unionbank Toll Free Customer Service Number (1-800-1888-2277) to get your Expanded Use Number.

5. Once you acquired the Expanded Use Number, login to your Paypal account and continue with your EON Account registration (adding or enrolling your card). Now that your added and completely verified by Paypal, your sending and withdrawal limits will be lifted. And now, you won’t be having a problem when it comes to withdrawing your money. You can withdraw your money through Unionbank ATM (highly recommended since there will be no withdrawal charge).

Now, you are geared for an online business or personal transaction even if you are based in thePhilippines.
