At Pinay Mommies Community Weekly Fest, we are required to post a picture of ourselves then and now. Unfortunately, I only have one baby picture and I left it at Bacolod. So what you can see here are those old pictures that I already have scanned before.

The “THEN” is during my preschool years. The first picture is with my mom. All were taken during my birthday. We are not that rich so taking pictures was a privilege during birthdays. The solo “NOW” was taken last September 2007 while I was still working and the second is with my daughter during the Masskara Festival last 2005. The little cute picture was taken just last month…that is the stressed out and rugged me!

I didn’t get the chance to find and buy a copy but the writer did send me a link to the scanned copy of article.

Hehehe…Why is the magazine important to me? It’s because Pinay Mommies Community (PMC) was featured!! Yup, that is right. Isn’t that great?! If you grab a copy of Working Mom Magazine October 2008 Issue, you will find PMC at page 36 with a picture of the three members who were lucky to be interviewed.
At the picture starting from the left, you can see Mommy Aeirin, Mommy Cara and Mommy Charm respectively. Since they are one of our Manila based members, they were the mommies I have asked to represent for the interview and pictorials. I can’t go because I am here at Cagayan de Oro and it would take thousands of dollars to get there. Anyway, it’s for PMC and I am still glad it went through perfectly fine. Anyway, the editors of Working Mom searched the internet for mommy online communities. Luckily, they were able to stumble upon Pinay Mommies Community that led to my blog here. They contacted me via email and from then on…everything was history and now we are at the pages of Working Mom Magazine!

Indeed a very great day to be thankful!! It’s not every month that someone recognizes and features a community that you have started and your blog to be mentioned for that matter. Thank God for such a wonderful blessing!!

I would also like to thank Mommy Aeirin, Mommy Cara and Mommy Charm. For without them agreeing to be interviewed and hamper their busy schedules, this would not happen. I love you mommies!!

My baby girl is now already 8 years old. Since she doesn’t cry that easily nor my baby boy, I need to go time travelling just to capture one. ^_^

Kidding aside, I saw this picture at my baby girl’s unfinished album. She was 3 years old when we took this picture. We promised to take her to Jollibee but unfortunately that day was not “the day”. We didn’t have the budget for it. So she was already depressed but my father was kidding her with jokes. She got irritated and started a tantrum. We told her that she should stop crying or we will take a picture. But she didn’t stopped but ran under the dresser. When we saw her there, she was looked so cute crying under it and decided to take a picture. Then on the next day, she got what she had – a Jollibee Kiddie Meal!!

Since its not required that you are the once who cooked it, all that matter is that it’s your favorite food.

My all-time favorite food is KINILAW. A tasty raw fish dish from the Philippines.

Ingredients:
- 1 kilo tuna
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium cucumber
- Pinch of salt
- 1 medium ginger
- 5 pieces lemon
- 2 pieces hot chili
- 2 medium tomatoes

Procedure:
1. First, you have to clean the fish and cut it into cubes
2. Put it into the bowl
3. Pour the vinegar
4. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze it.
5 Put the sliced onion, sliced tomatoes, ginger, cucumber and salt to taste in the bowl together with the fish
6 Leave it out for one hour in the refrigerator before you serve

It is a true sign that “bayanihan” still exists and even in the blogosphere.

After all the hectic schedule, finally Pinay Mommies Community‘s own domain is now live! We have migrated all the files from the free domain to it’s own domain. BUT! Yes with a big BUT because our old members need to register again for their site to be listed at the new domain. I am really sorry for the inconvenience.

Anyway, this is it and it’s the final domain. Though it still on a temporary stage, we will try to make it more beautiful in the later days to come. Some areas are still under construction but the forum is good to go!
