Does technorati experiencing an escaped monster again? I have noticed that my authority is dropping steadily and so as some of my friends’ blogs. If I do ping them, I will experience a slight increase then within few hours it will drop again.

Well, most of my other blogs are increasing but those that have higher authorities already are experiencing a steady down drop. I really wondered why this is happening. Some said it’s because there are millions of blogs registered at technorati and the system is having a hard time adjusting with their present numbers plus those that are added in every few minutes to their system.

By the way, are you experiencing the same thing right now??

About 3 months ago when I bought Pinay Mommy Online‘s domain name, I was very sad seeing my Page Rank 3 and Technorati Authority drop to ZERO. I was very much depressed that being a newbie (and still I consider myself am), I felt so helpless about it.

But now…all things are not the same. All efforts (with God’s grace of course) have been granted. Aside from the page rank of this blog, Pinay Mommy Online has reached a Technorati Authority of 748 and just recently has been faved by over a hundred fans already.

If you like, please, allow me to share how it came to be:

1. Be a technorati addict – you need to have a motivation when you start. LOL!!
2. Big Bang Meme – Monday Morning Power (thank you very much!) initiated this project early this year. I was so happy that in my early stages of blogging, I was invited to participate. Being listed as number 79, it really took my link a long way!
3. Tags and Memes – Every now and then, when I am not busy, I do accept and do tags. So, I thank all my friends for remembering me and even following up on me to do it. It really do help.
4. Project Exlinks – The first small scale project that Pinay Mommy Online initiated helped a lot too. It helped not only this blog but all the participants.
5. Fave Exchange Request – I made a thread at BlogCatalog about fave request. If they fave my blog, I will fave them back.
6. Pexlinks Triple Love – The second (hopefully will become a big one) project Pinay Mommy Online hosted also helped in having new fans.

And of course, those whom I have not asked to link me but gave me a link love which of course linked them up too.

So that’s all about it…hope you liked what I shared!! Muah!!

PEXLINKS TRIPLE LOVE PROJECT

Hello guys and gals!!

I have been thinking a lot about this lately. It seems that I was having a hard time on how to name it and what should be the nature. I wanted it to be like Valentine Linky Love and Project Exlinks, where not only one blogger gets all the love but everybody who participates. So, around 5:00 a.m. dawn, I came up with a wacky name on how to call it! And I thought of calling it PEXLINKS TRIPLE LOVE!!

Ok…the first question is why TRIPLE?? Well, if you want to join the project, there are three pre-requisites before you can join. You need to have the following:

1. EntreCard Account
2. Technorati Account
3. RSS Readers Account (Bloglines, Google Reader, etc.)

This project aims to achieve the following.

1. To have a lot of technorati fans.
2. To have a lot of RSS subscribers. (if we can’t visit all blogs, we can always check what’s new in just one click if you use a rss reader)
4. To have regular EntreCard droppers.
5. To get your blog exposed to others (you might have great content – all it needs is a little push to be seen by the world).
6. To have more friends in the blogosphere!!!

These goals will be impossible to achieve if you don’t participate and follow the instructions. It would also be unfair if you just add your links and don’t put an effort to help others. Ok, there is a possibility that the list will be longer and you might not follow anymore (we have our own lives to take care – LOL!! – I know), actually you can stop (if you want) if you have faved and subscribed 300 participants. But, why 300?? Well, I guess it’s a good number – you can only make 300 drops a day at EntreCard and the 300 movie was great (hehehe)! I think it’s nice.

So, what should a participant do?

1. Write a post about this project and how this project can show love to fellow bloggers.
2. After that, leave a comment here with your post permalink, technorati fave link, rss/feeds link, your blog’s name and link, EntreCard user details (why? read more below) and email (for updates please). You can optionally grab the banner if you want.
3. Then of course, please don’t forget to do the following:

Fave 300 participants of this projects (more if you want)
Add the blogrolling script at your post (to the post about this contest)
Subscribe to their RSS/Feeds using bloglines – highly recommended (or any reader or email subscription if you want).

Since, we are still starting the project, please don’t expect to have 300 participants in one day. This will take weeks or even months. All we need is to help each other in spreading the word of love throughout the blogosphere. Thus, you are required to visit this post once in awhile to fave, link and subscribe some new links.

Now…now…since mommy loves to share too! Last time, I did a post regarding the increase of my blog’s worth and juice. So, I kinda like the idea of making more updates on this to track my blog’s progress in term of links and Alexa Rankings. I think this is another reason to be happy with my blog :~ !

It was February 10 when I posted the my old Big Bang Meme at OnlineBiz and Resources. I was hoping that I could increase it’s technorati in few days time but I was wrong. It took almost a month to finally get technorati notice her. Just today (finally!), I don’t see zero anymore but a 3-digit number!

Juices and Worth

My Link Exchange Problem

It’s been months since I discovered the truth about linkers and link exchanges. It really gave me a hard time. I don’t know how to say it but I am going to say it now – I really prefer not to be linked at blogs using linker scripts. I know you would ask why? So, here is the reason and I know you will understand me. It will also bother me if I don’t share this to you.

Even before I started to seriously blog, I admitted that I want to monetized this blog so that I can earn extra while I am staying at home with my kids. And I think that every novice and pro bloggers knows the importance of having a Google Page Rank and Technorati Authority in having more opportunities in a monetized blogging world. Since my domain is new, I started to read about how to acquire a Google Page Rank and Technorati Authority. So, when I was surfing the net, I came across few informations. I have read that Google counts quality links (including reciprocal links) as some of the factors on what page rank they will give you. As for Technorati, they count the number of blog reactions you have with other blogs that has your link.

So, how does that directly relates to my problem with linkers? And I guess this would probably be your problem too if your seriously monetizing your blog. Ok, here it is…If you are using linkers, you will notice that they are using javascript. In my own terms it means that when you add a link to your blog, their links are not connected to your blog at all. So, all the urls of all your friends that you linked to your site using linkers are not considered by Google or Technorati as quality links. Only links that are added manually (I add mine manually, so if you noticed they are not alphabetized) or the traditional way are considered quality links. Again in my terms, it means that you add your friends link by using the usual HTML code for text links.

So, when you add your friend’s URL manually, you use the codes above and place them where you have your blogroll. Just edit mine.

That’s it! I hope I have helped you in discovering the truth about linkers. I know that the traditional way is quite tiresome since it involves a lot of work but hey…it’s worth it!
