Family-friendly Holiday Activities

Hurrah – it’s that time of the year when families around the world prepare to embark on their annual holiday!

A key part of the planning stages is deciding what activities to do and this will depend on the three Ls – location, location, location!

For example, if you’re staying in holiday cottages like those found in or somewhere similar, then the emphasis will be on getting out and exploring the great outdoors, while a trip to somewhere like Florida will probably mean spending your days relaxing on the beach.

Here are a few family-friendly holiday activity ideas if you’re in need of inspiration:

Escape from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life with a spot of fishing in tranquil surroundings and really enjoy some quality time together.

Mountain biking

Fast and furious or enjoy a leisurely bike ride. Either way, it’s fun for all the family and it’s a great way to get your kids active. Take your own bikes or hire one.

If you’re kids love nothing more than messing about in the sea then how about treating them to surf lessons?!? Surf schools are safe, affordable and may mean you can enjoy some peace and quiet for a few hours as your little ones are put through their paces by a qualified surf instructor.

Head to the coast or the nearest swimming pool or water park for a splashing good time. Many children absolutely love to go swimming on a regular basis, so set aside some time to let them burn off some energy in the pool.

It’s free, it’s fun and it’s definitely family friendly if you plan the route accordingly. A day out walking in the countryside is ideal for a spot of family bonding. Pack a picnic, pack a camera, pack plenty of sunscreen and let the adventures begin!

Holiday activities here in the Philippines usually constitute swimming or sometimes travelling. I think it’s a great experience for our families to explore the different tourist destinations around.
