Everyone has had those days where they just cannot seem to concentrate on anything. Unfortunately, there is no magic pill that can improve an individual’s brain functions. There are, however, some foods that have been proven to improve brain functions. These foods have also been proven to improve how individuals perform everyday thinking and memory related tasks. It is suggested that an individual avoid a diet that is high in saturated fats as this can actually cause damage to brain neurons.

Blueberries

Experts agree that blueberries are considered to be the number one brain food. This is because the contents of blueberries improve a wide range of mental functions. One of the most notable improves that blueberries have been shown to contribute to is the improvement of one’s memory.  Blueberries are also rich in antioxidants which help to prevent radical damage. Research has also shown that blueberries play a role in reverse age related declines in motor skills, coordination, and balance.

Salmon

Salmon is abundant in Omega-3 fatty tissues. Omega-3 helps the human brain to develop tissues, which helps to increase the power of the brain. Salmon also plays a huge role in battling age degenerative cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer’s Disease.

This is because caffeine is actually good for the brain as long as it is consumed in moderation. Caffeine is also rich in antioxidants. The consumption of broccoli can enhance the memory skills of the human brain. It has also been shown to slow the effect aging has on the human brain as well. This means that a diet rich in broccoli can help keep an individual young and sharp.
