I have heard a story of a family that owns an heirloom that has been passed down from one generation to another. One of my closest friend, the only girl in the family, will be receiving the ring of her great great great maternal grandmother when she gets married. The ring will be worn by this lady on her wedding day. Then she has to keep and use the ring until she bore a daughter and that daughter will marry one day. And then the family tradition will go on and on. I think the story is sweet for such a family.
Talking of marriage, I remember the story I read that says, giving a gold to the wedded couple is lucky charm for a prosperous married life. I am not sure if it is true or not, but I guess it is. I wish one day I can see a real gold coin just like the gold coin at goldeneaglecoin.com. Just a wish to see, not really to own one. But if someone will give it to me as a remembrance surely, I will receive it and pass it to my daughter’s daughter as a family remembrance. I bet I am going to do the same tradition the family of my friend’s friend is keeping.
