A Very Productive Evening with Sun Life

A Very Productive Evening with Sun Life

Posted on July 16, 2019July 17, 2019 by MOMMY RUBY

I had a very productive evening with Sun Life. I never regretted saying yes to my Sun Life Advisor Elva Aban after she invited me to join the seminar on A Practical Wealth Management for Generations at Limketkai Luxe Hotel. To be honest, I readily said yes without even thinking who would be the speaker. I just said yes because the topic looks appealing.

When I arrived at the venue, I was shocked that there were many participants. We had a hard time looking for seats because the place was so full. But after a few minutes, we were provided seats.

After we were settled, the speaker was introduced to us. He was Mr. Rex Mendoza, the President & CEO of Rampver Financials, a dynamic niche player in financial services specializing in investments, and the biggest distributor of mutual funds in the Philippines. Aside from his impressive background, he was totally amazing. He was fun and very informative.

From his talk, I was able to outline what he shared to us and I am sharing these with you as well. I hope these can help you as it opened my eyes more on how to manage our finances.

Simple Steps to Wealth Creation

  • Expand earning potential.

Expand earning potential.

He suggested that we should not only focus on our active income streams but also on creating passive income.

  • Maintain a lifestyle lower than your income.

Maintain a lifestyle lower than your income.

As our salary increase, our lifestyle usually increases as well. This should not be the case. We should maintain the same kind of lifestyle when our finances were lower even our income increases, that way, we can save.

  • Accumulate and grow what you keep.

Accumulate and grow what you keep.

When you have the savings, then you can start investing and grow what you have set aside.

  • Do it with a purpose.

Do it with a purpose.

Always remember the reason why you embarked on your wealth creation journey.

  • Enjoy the process.

Enjoy the process.

We should enjoy the processes of wealth creation. We shouldn’t be so stingy and not reward ourself with little things.

All I shared was just a summary of the simple steps to wealth creation, I hope you learned a thing or two from this. I am struggling with my finances, but definitely, I have learned a lot from Mr. Rex Mendoza. My Sun Life Advisor bought the two books written by Mr. Mendoza. She let me borrow the first book he wrote. With that, I am excited to learn more from him!

So, what do you think, guys? Do you agree that I had a very productive evening with Sun Life?

My Papa would always say, “live within your means.” If you want to grow your wealth, you have to live simply. That’s what I don’t like about how many people live nowadays, trying to keep up with everyone else, even if they cannot really afford it.

Maintaining a lifestyle lower than your income is so crucial to helping maintain wealth management. SO many people fail to remember this, and it causes them to go into debt.

Good talk and I hope you enjoyed and learned from it. Growing and accumulation of wealth depend on the right ways of expense and identification of the proper source.
