Before It’s Too Late

2016 is just a matter of hours away. Whenever a new year comes, we are always reminded how time flies which eventually means that life is really short. We have to spend it with people who really matters to us. Not waste it with senseless things.

We need to spend quality time with our family and loved ones. We need to enjoy each fun activity we do with them, down to the most emotional situations that are happening in each of our lives. Personally, I love to be with my family, especially my kids and let them feel that they are special even in my own little way.

Before-its-TOO-LATEThere is a widely used Filipino proverb about the importance of timely solutions. It is also analogous to the importance of spending time with the most important people in your life while they are still living (or while you are still living) because if they leave this world, we can’t spend time with them anymore. If you haven’t heard about this proverb, it goes something like this… “What good is the grass if the horse is already dead?”

This Filipino proverb basically says that things can wait whilst time doesn’t. You may work yourself hard and earn as much as you can for your family but what if they are no longer around, wealth is utterly useless if you don’t have someone to share it with.

I am not saying that earning money for our family is bad. All I am just saying is that we do it moderately. Let us spend time with people that matters to us most. If we have shown our love to them; then, if ever the time comes when they or we leave this world, we have no regrets. We can wholeheartedly accept the funeral directors Castle Hill recommendations on how to take care of things. Nobody wants to live life with regrets. It is the scariest thing on earth!
