Blogging Challenge V.3 – Back at it Again!

Blogging Challenge? Yes! I am back at it again after having two failed attempts last year. My first blogging challenge was last July 2019 and then I failed miserably because I had to travel. Then my second attempt was in August 2019 and again failed because I started teaching and got really busy.

Now, with the advent of COVID19 and the ongoing community quarantine, I can’t help but think… “Why not try again?” Just like how I mentioned it on one of my posts last August 2019 that I will not stop trying until I will be able to complete the 30-day blogging challenge.

Why Are You Doing This

Well, the first reason is simple really… if you are a blogger, then you need to blog. Yeah! That simple. I have been using the word “blogger” on my social media accounts but I haven’t been able to blog for weeks… for months. Before, I used to publish around 3 to 5 blog posts a day. I was excited (money can be the motivating factor) and I had many things to say. Not that I am saying I don’t have anything to say right now, but life just happened, and I got demotivated and eventually got lazy.

But of course, aside from that simple reason, I just want to rekindle my passion for blogging. Readers and followers didn’t matter to me before. All I wanted was to put out stories and document my children’s growth. Because of what happened in my life, a terrible one at that, I failed to write a lot of beautiful memories I have with my children.

And lastly, I continue to believe that making money online from the Philippines is still possible aside from working from home. And one of those is making money from my blog. Honestly, I still make money from this blog but not as much as before. So, I am planning… why not make money while I am trying to rekindle my passion for blogging? It wouldn’t hurt right?

Not Alone in This

This time… I am not alone in this. I am doing this blogging challenge with my friends from The Blogging TERS. Not all of us, but most of us that is. Ter Judy of Bogie’s Wonderland and Ter Em of LadySoda have confirmed to take on this challenge. Our other TERS, Ter Jenjacqs of A Little Drop of Everything and Ter Phebie of Love’s Haven are both willing but couldn’t commit as of the moment.

The Blogging TERS is what we call ourselves. We became closer not only because we are all bloggers but we are also believers of Christ. We don’t go to the same church though, but we all believe in Jesus Christ.

Version 3 – The Difference

I call this Blogging Challenge Version 3. What is the difference? Well, right now, I am not alone and the other one is that we have a series of writing prompts that will last for 30 days. So we are to write a blog post based on the writing prompt for that day. So the challenge is not just about blogging every day, but blog with a purpose – you have a topic!

We have 30 writing prompts already but as of the moment, I am not sharing it here. I think it would be nice to have an element of surprise. Don’t you think?

Anyway, if you are curious or you want to take part of this blogging challenge, I invite you to join us by leaving a comment below. We can send you an email of all the topics we have in mind. Once you have posted, we will visit your blog and read your thoughts about the topic.

I have slacked in my blogging lately and these ideas are just what I need. I have been wanting to join a writing prompt maybe that will be my next goal!

I’m getting ready to do a 30 day challenge again. The way I do it is plan to do 10 posts on each of my top 3 topics, do some keyword research and make a list of 35-40 possible blog posts. Each time I have done this my traffic has doubled.
