Bull Rider without a Bull

Yup, that is right! My dad’s friend Mr. Edison C. Paano is a bull rider without a bull. And aside from that, he is more than a bull rider but he is also a well-experienced cowboy himself. I am not talking about western cowboys from the movies buy I am talking about in real life! Did you know that he received a lot of awards from various competitions? Like in 2003, he was the Rodeo King during the Kaamulan Rodeo Competition in Malaybalay City. Then in 2004, he was named Rodeo Champion in One Man Play Bull Dogging during the Mindanao Finals, Impasug-ong Bukidnon. Both 2006 and 2007, he was still the Rodeo Champion during the Kaamulan Rodeo Competition. He also placed second in the same event last 2008. His best achievement was when he reared a Triple Crown Champion Racing Horse (Realtop) in the Philippines. So, talk about a well experienced real life Filipino cowboy!!

Anyway, he is looking for a job as a Farm/Ranch Caretaker or a Chief Cowboy. Maybe you know somebody who needs one? It’s really sad to see such talent go to waste. He is very knowledgeable on taming wild horses, hoof trimming, paddocking, deworming (stomach tubing), and vitamin supplementation via intramuscular injection or intravenous route. He also knows how to handle horses and to provide them with care during horse parturition. Aside from that, he knows how to treat mild diseases with horses.

By the way, to add upon his experiences, he has intensive knowledge in calf/cow taming, bull wrestling, dehorning, vitamins and antibiotic application. He can assist cows in giving birth and even the application of basic parasite control. Having 21 years of experience as a Farm Caretaker and Cowboy both for Senator Miguel Zubiri and Governor Jose Maria Zubiri, he has gained a lot of knowledge and expertise related to his field. He knows how to handle a herd of cattle in any given situation and also knowledgeable in coral fixing and coral building.
