    We observed Earth Hour for the 8th time. My kids and I started participating every Earth Hour since 2009. I remembered the first time we participated in 2009. Our family shared a discussion over dinner why we were turning off the lights. During that time, it was already the second year since Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia. The mission of this movement is to unite the people around the world in protecting our planet, Earth.   Earth Hour is observed yearly one Saturday every March from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. As a family, we make it like an everyday thing.     Learning Aikido

    Just today, my two eldest children started their Aikido class. I decided to send them there as part of my personal concocted gadget detox program (to lessen their dependency on gadgets). I want them to learn different things aside from entertaining themselves with their gadgets all summer long. As I observed, both are a little awkward at first but they got settled in despite being the youngest learners in the class. I am hoping that as months fly by, they appreciate the arts even more.
