CDO Mommy Blogger was born because I wanted to create another lifestyle blog about Cagayan de Oro City in the perspective of a mom. I bought a domain name cdomommyblogger.com just last year (2018). But after I visited Bacolod City and talked to a friend who is an expert in SEO, she advised me to stop. She told me that I have been struggling already in updating my blogs and maintaining more is not really a good solution right now.
Transferring CDO Mommy Blogger
So, as per advise, I decided to transfer the contents of CDO Mommy Blogger here in Pinay Mommy Online. I admit. I am totally struggling right now. I can’t even update this blog and a few others more. How much more new ones? As of this writing, I haven’t transferred the contents but the decision to do so is there already. I will just tag Cagayan de Oro related posts with CDO Mommy Blogger if related to mommy blogging and/or just Cagayan de Oro or CDO Events. This will make it easier for CDO audience to find posts related to my city.
Maintaining and Focusing with Two Blogs
I have decided to focus on updating two blogs, this blog and my other blog RUBY CABERTE (www.rubzonline.com) which will cater more on my personal thoughts and interests like blogging, freelancing, training, traveling, and even finance but more specifically with FinTech (financial technology). Pinay Mommy Online will focus more on parenting (single parenting), homeschooling, family, and reviews.
A Tough Blogger’s Decision
When you are a blogger, every domain feels like they are your little children. You invest time in growing them. And when you decide to let go, it kinda hurt inside. Well, I have terminated a lot of blogs before for financial reason but this is the first time letting go because I really have to choose to maintain a few due to lack of time. It is more like taking care of my health which includes my mental health.
CDO Mommy Blogger Moves Forward
Though I will be transferring the content of this blog here, I will be maintaining my CDO Mommy Blogger Facebook Page. There are some readers of mine who still prefers to consume specifically. So instead of closing the page, I will move forward with it. It is also good to speak in your dialect once in a while and not in full English. 🙂
Anyway, I am so thankful for everyone for supporting my other blog. Though it was shortlived, the memories lived on through Pinay Mommy Online. So I guess, I will be updating here more often, huh?
I can relate gid marz. I keep all my old blogs eventhough I don’t update them as well. But this decision is a good thing, SEO-wise. Good luck!
Thank you very much, Marz! My visit to Bacolod was very productive. It really helped me decide in freeing up myself. It helped me choose what to pursue and what to give up.
Having more blogs to focus is sometimes tedious but we have to set priorities. Right now I have 3 blogs, 2 of them are still infants, hahaha and decided to got their domains coz I dont want others to get that name.
