Whenever I watch the news, I am sometimes appalled by how politicians act in public. I don’t know if it’s just for a show or they are really not in their right minds. This is the reason why I try to limit watching the news on TV. I prefer reading or watch short clips because I can just quickly abandon when things get too out of this world!
One of the news that got into me lately is the childish act of Marikina Mayor Teodoro over the issue of the appointment of the chief of police in his city. I mean… why should a mayor get irked over the issue of reassigning chief of police within different cities? The Philippine National Police sure has reasons why they do these things. And since the PNP has no mandate for them to inform the local government executives for immediate changes such childish acts are uncalled for.
Well, good thing that Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Oscar Albayalde was quick to criticize this local official. He said that policemen do have a career path to follow and are also expected to be promoted. And when a promotion comes and the official is called to their new post immediately. they can temporarily assign an OIC to make sure the command post is not vacant. However, the mayor, as provided by law, can choose one based on the recommendation presented by the PNP. A temporary OIC is the quickest way to answer the need of the city.
Thought General Oscar Albayalde didn’t mention any names, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Major General Guillermo Eleazar was the one who confirmed the name of the Marikina Mayor. As expected, this badass National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director is not afraid to name names.
Mayor Teodoro vehemently denied doing childish acts but calls it unfair. He said he doesn’t want to tarnish the relationship between the LGU and the law enforcement agency.
For me, removing your initiative to support PNP’s gas allowance after hearing the reassignment of your city chief of police and bringing it back after is a bit childish. Just like a kid telling another kid that you are not friends anymore after a small disagreement. Well, there are funnier acts by other politicians, but sometimes being childish lands them on national news! And I laugh! Hahaha…
Anyway, I am glad to hear that National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Major General Guillermo Eleazar is at it again. He is active and really takes his job seriously. He wants the PNP to be better. It makes me wonder what is that next thing he will be doing to alleviate PNP’s reputation to the entire country.
Grabe ‘no? Sana these politicians realize na it’s the people who actually suffer sa mga ganyang incidents. Buti na lang Major General Eleazar is passionate about what he is doing for the people and for the police force.
hahaha kalowka. But then again, there are so many childish people everywhere. The government agencies, like the police, is not spared.
Being childish is the old tactics adults so they want to be noticed or get something even there is no chance of getting it.
We are in the democratic country who tolerates stupidity.
something like this in the previous gov’t agency I’ve worked with happened. a very common issues not only between PNP and LCE but as well in other gov’t agencies.
Ay, grabe sya kung makapagreact! Parang ayaw nya yung kalaro sa city kaya binawian ng gas allowance ang PNP. Tsk tsk. I wonder how he run his city if he’s being like this on petty things.
This kind of attitude is very rampant in our country. I used to work for the government and it’s one of the reasons I left. This, politics, and more politicking + corruption. Hayyy, as in grabe. And just today, I heard another kind of corruption in the local govt in our bundock straight from the horse’s mouth. As in grabe! Gusto ko magsumbong sa 888 kaso hindi ako ang firsthand na naka experience. Tsk, tsk. When will our leaders shape up?
Fishy! childish and very unprofessional! He just made a clown of himself..as if he knows nothing about how things go with PNP officials. tsk..tsk..He should be the one stripped of his title as a gov’t official. 😀 gigil mo si acquo!
