One thing I have observed from the citizens of the US is that they are very inclined to DIY (do-it-yourself) projects. From repainting the house to making other things, they want to do it by themselves. Just like filling-up the holes in their lands or leveling it, they tend to rent roll off dump trailers rather than hiring someone to do it.
Here in the Philippines, hiring others to do it is much cheaper than doing it yourself. Instead of buying the materials and the things you need to use, hiring others with the exact tools is much more efficient than buying a onetime use for yourself.
In all honesty, I like to try on DIY projects as well but financially it is not beneficial for me. That is why I just satisfy myself in seeing DIY project videos online than doing it in actual.
