To watch an orchestra in concert could be rare, because the tickets are usually pricey and seats are limited. But to watch an orchestra perform, they say, is listening to real music. Not that R and B, rock and those ballads are fake music, but because an orchestra is a classic example of how it is to perform in harmony. The blending in of the different sounds those musical instruments make is just heavenly.
It is hard to identify musical instruments, though. One could easily spot the violin in an orchestra, but it’s quite a challenge to memorize the names of those wind and the bigger string instruments at the back like the electric upright bass.
I don’t know when I’ll ever have the opportunity to watch an orchestra play again, but I sure would love to!
