How the World has Changed – From Door to Door to B2B Telemarketing and More

Posted on November 10, 2011November 28, 2016 by MOMMY RUBY

In the past, parents worked hard in order to send their children to school. Then they aim for them to finish school and choose a good course in college that could land them a high-paying job or that could send them abroad.

But since many companies have been closing down and people getting jobless in their 40s or 50s, there has now been a question about one’s longevity in their jobs. Is it worth it?

That is why many people have gone into business. Being your own boss, even if your enterprise is small, allows you some leeway in terms of finances. People set up shops, get into b2b telemarketing, or go online for business pursuits and investments.

Maybe it is high time that our educational system should look into this. We had been so conditioned to getting people to finish college but so many of the world’s millionaires and billionaires have not even set foot in a university! We need to harness skills where people are strong and find ways to make them productive and profitable.

Something has to be done. And we have to start somewhere because the world is changing. We don’t want to have middle-aged retirees who have to wait for another 20 years just to receive their pension!

Hi Rubz! I think the name of the game is adapting to changes. We’re lucky that we’ve become internet savvy, therefore we can make money this way. However, for some folks (like my mom’s generation) who just aren’t interested in learning “new things”- be it online or offline- they’ll have a difficult time getting by.

On my own opinion, I believe that being successful in life can achieve by everyone whether you are poor or rich, college graduate or not. As long as you are wise, you are hard working and you have God in everything you do. I’m sure He will give you the life that you wanted.

I agree with you Ate Ruby. Ako on my first year in college masyado akong seryoso sa school kasi I thought college degree will serve as a security for financial stability in the future. Pero when I have read a book entitled “Rich man, Poor Dad”, nagbago yung pananaw ko. Hindi talaga kailangan ang degree para maging successful but of course I still need to finsih my degree since yun ung gusto ng parents ko.

Having a business is the way to go now. If you have a business that will click, you will surely get rich.
