How to Reduce the Signs of Ageing

Posted on November 15, 2012December 6, 2013 by MOMMY RUBY

Are you tired of seeing an ageing body every time you look in the mirror? Perhaps you‘re feeling a little worse for wear and want to revamp your appearance? If so, there are things you can do to make getting older that bit easier. Of course, it will take a little effort on your part, but a few changes could make a big difference, so take a look at the advice below.

Opt for a hair transplant

Whilst many men are fine about losing their hair, women don’t take it so well. If your mop is your pride and joy, why not restore it to its former glory with the help of a hair transplant? There are many techniques available, but follicular unit extraction is popular as it doesn’t leave a strip scar on the scalp. During the process, healthy follicles are plucked out and re-implanted where necessary to achieve a natural look.

Get gym membership

If you’ve piled on the pounds in recent years, you might be starting to look and feel your age – so it’s time to take action. Signing up to a gym and working out on a regular basis will help you get into shape and could improve your appearance in no time. You’ll have to be strict on yourself and embark on a calorie-burning regime, but it should all be worth it. However, don’t forget to get the seal of approval from your doctor if you feel you are making dramatic lifestyle changes.

Stop smoking

Are you a heavy smoker? If so, you should think about quitting in the near future. It’s thought that puffing on a cigarette reduced oxygen to the skin causing it to age quickly. It is also believed to cause wrinkles round the mouth, so try to pack up this habit sooner rather than later. If you need help, there’s plenty of advice on the NHS Choices website, or you could ask your health care provider for expert tips.

Look after your skin

Contrary to popular belief, exfoliation and moisturising is not just for women. It’s for everyone, so scrub off all that dead skin every time you shower and use a suitable cream. Not only will this leave you with a soft, smooth complexion, but it will stimulate your circulation leaving you with a rosy glow. Many beauty clinics also offer skin care treatments such as microdermabrasion alongside the more life-changing surgeries like nose jobs, so you might want to see what’s available.

Getting old is an inevitable part of life, but there are ways to stay looking young and healthy.

My mom is one of those people who do not want to look her age. This is why as much as possible she uses some products that can help help her defy the signs of aging.
