Bro. Eddie Villanueva

Many people may question me why I support Bro. Eddie C. Villanueva. Well, I think I don’t have to elaborate it but here is a little background of what Bro. Eddie is. He “…was a radical student reformist during the 70’s, professor of economics, finance and political economy in PUP and Christian evangelist that has helped transform the lives of millions of Filipinos here and abroad.” Even until now, he serves for God and not for himself.

14 When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you and have taken possession of it and settled in it, and you say, “Let us set a king over us like all the nations around us,” 15 be sure to appoint over you the king the LORD your God chooses. He must be from among your own brothers. Do not place a foreigner over… you, one who is not a brother Israelite. 16 The king, moreover, must not acquire great numbers of horses for himself or make the people return to Egypt to get more of them, for the LORD has told you, “You are not to go back that way again.” 17 He must not take many wives, or his heart will be led astray. He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold. 18 When he takes the throne of his kingdom, he is to write for himself on a scroll a copy of this law, taken from that of the priests, who are Levites. 19 It is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life so that he may learn to revere the LORD his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees 20 and not consider himself better than his brothers and turn from the law to the right or to the left. Then he and his descendants will reign a long time over his kingdom in Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:14-20)

That is why, I am officially declaring that I, Blogging Mama, am supporting Bro. Eddie C. Villanueva for Presidency! I believe that there is HOPE for the PHILIPPINES and we need to CHANGE to have that!

This post made my convictions stronger on whom to vote this 2010 Presidential Elections. Please read it!

Hello Zhang! Yes, its the same verses from http://www.JuanCountry.com. These verses made my convictions stronger that is why I decided to officially blog about my support for him.

  • Bogcess

Hmm.. Interesting choice. I salute Bro. Eddie for his good intentions to put GOD first on everything else and apply it on politics. However, I think that alone isn’t enough.

Upon reading your post on this blog, names of different politicians came in to my thoughts, “He must be from among your own brothers,” this clearly states that he should also be a Christian(Filipino), in thoughts, in words, and in acts. Secondly, “must not acquire great numbers of horses for himself” and in this “He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold,” for which I think that man must not be too rich. Another, “He must not take many wives, or his heart will be led astray,” our ‘former president’ had many wives and it’s possible for him to take more when he gets in power again and for sure his leadership will make Philippines one more level down to poverty, but no more chances for that man, WE have learned our mistakes. Lastly, based on my understanding that king must also be a Bible Reader.

    I am for Bro.Eddie 🙂

Indeed Bro. Eddie has good intentions but aside from that fact, he is also a professor of economics, finance and political economy in PUP before he became a pastor. As for leadership qualities, I believe he has the potential.

I firmly believe in the New Philippines! We need change and we need it now.

wag na tayong magbulag bulagan pa i do believe my mga christian pa rin that will not vote for bro. eddie pero masasabi ko lang is kaylan tayo makikialam? habang buhay na lang ba tayong mabubulagbulagan? uupo na lang isang sulok at walang pakialam sa bansa? come on bible say’s we are the salt of this world, anung silbi mong asin kong andyan ka lang sa tabi. anung silbi mong ilaw kung natatakpan naman at di nakikita. bumagon tayo at lumaban. tara na sa tunay na pagbabago. I am proud to be a Filipino after I read your article, I realize that there are still media practitioners and writers who can stand in their ground. I was appalled by the circus of the mainstream media on how they are deceiving the people evident by the following articles :

    and

I am very happy to see that there are people who supports and believe to bro. eddie , after reading all the negative comments .I must admit that I feel ashamed to my self for doing nothing as a christian, for not making a stand to what I believed ,for allowing others to manipulate because I am afraid for others to tell why I am supporting Bro. Eddie.

Thanks for your blog site for giving us strength and sharing our insight

Me and my household will serve the Lord , I will vote according to what I believe

I pray that God will allow a fair election to this country.

Me and my family our for Bro. Eddie

  • EmeRisa

Great job! I hope and pray that many would STAND FOR WHAT WE BELIEVE! Among the presidentiables… it’s ONLY BRO. EDDIE WHO MEASURES UP TO THE STANDARDS that God has set in the Bible. Yet it’s true that many Filipinos who call themselves ‘Christians’ fail to acknowledge that ONLY A RIGHTEOUS LEADER COULD BRING ABOUT THE CHANGE THAT WE ARE LONGING FOR! Calling all Filipinos! Please MAKE THE CHANGE HAPPEN! VOTE FOR BRO. EDDIE VILLANUEVA! We are facing either BLESSING or CURSE. VOTE WISELY!

  • zhang

@emerissa – you’re so true and correct. we should not stop explaining to them why christian should take a stand for our nation and why they should support bro.eddie as their own!

  • gray

    great post! 🙂
the only standard we can look up to is God’s, through His Word. Many of our brothers in faith fail to realize His divine standard, even when it comes in establishing a country. We must pray that we will be all united for this cause – for God’s cause! We can no longer settle for a ‘lesser evil’ … time is offering a RIGHTEOUS LEADER for GOOD GOVERNANCE of our country! God bless the Philippines! =)

  • Chin chin

Am voting for Bro. Eddie too. If we can only truly have a man of God govern our country, there may be hope yet. May God bless the Philippines.

  • tina tria

All Born-again Christians should unite and cry out to God in prayer, beseeching him through His son Jesus Christ to enlighten the minds of all Filipinos, especially the Pentecostal Christians to vote for this man who have the holy fear of God in him. A righteous man is what we need if we really want to change as a nation. It is time to rise up as one voice and declare war against all kinds of greed and corruption.

Many politicians claim that they are “God-fearing” and “patriotic” every election. Once every 3 years or 6, they became the person most voters are looking for. All their accomplishments are aired on national TV, as if we have to be grateful in doing their duties that actually are their responsibilities. If they are truly God-fearing, they must stop boasting about themselves in their ads. If they are truly patriotic, they must stop using the poor in their ads, rather to help them even if they lose the position they are running for.
I am for Bro. Eddie. His ad is the ONLY ad who doesn’t use the poor or even brag about himself. Even if he didn’t make it last presidential election, he continued in serving not only the “poor” literally, but as well as the “poor” spiritually. He could actually stay in his comfort zone, living a peaceful life without threats from anyone. But because of the TRUE LOVE for GOD and COUNTRY, he is taking the risk of being a politician.

I do not know why a lot of our people vote based on popularity not on competence and capability. last year, i am a noynoy supporter but after watching all the presidential forums and looking at the track records of all the Presidentiables… Noy noy is not at all fit to become the next President. I know, this will hurt noynoy supporters but… Let us all be objective about the Presidency. Consider that one decision of a President will affect the lives of all Filipinos. I judge a candidate based on his own capability not because of his political affliliation or because he is the son of a hero and the icon of democracy. The father Ninoy is far different from his son Noynoy, in terms of intelligence, vision, courage and charisma, there is not doubt that ninoy the father was brillant. And if NINOY is the candidate i will surely vote for him. It is not enough to say ‘NA HINDI AKO MAGNANAKAW’ eh paano rin naman kung HINDI ALAM ANG GAGAWIN BILANG PANGULO! It is not enough that he has a battalion of advisers because the end the BRAIN of the president is the decision maker. If noynoy’s performance as a congressman and senator is not outstamding enough how can be assured of a good governance? There will be a lot of pressures, choices, and temptations, do you think noynoy can face the challenges of the presidency? I doubt. When i look at Gibo teodoro’s track record and qualification, he is no doubt the most qualified. Does he have any corruption issue? None. Other than being the administration candidate, i cannot think of any set back of the former secretary of national defense. When he is up stage talking, i will not be ashamed to to the whole world taht he is my President. You must admit it to yourselves that he talkes with sense and no nonsense. What we need is a benovelent President. Someone who can instill descipline and can implement our rules and law. The problem in this country is we have a citizenry who abuse the gifts of democracy. I am against dictatorship, but if a President needs to be firm to protect the country and our people … By all means please let us elect somebody who can lead this country. Ninoy, and Cory’s time was different from today. we need someone who will not tolerate indolence. From August of 2009 until November of 2009, i had a change of heart, i believe that GIBO is the right choice for our country. I was just thinking, for argument’s sake, what if gma endorsed noynoy instead of gibo? What if noynoy is not the son of cory and ninoy? What is there that noynoy can say other that he is the son of so and so? The fact of the matter is …. he has not proven his worth yet. Going for Noynoy is really like a shot in the dark w/all the problems facing our country. It will not be easy. I am not taking the risk … I’d rather go for somebody fit to become a PRESIDENT than go for somebody who is not ready for it. I have thought it a million times … If morality is the issue, Gibo Teodoro’s immediate family is decent as well. He is a faithful husband and was never involve or linked to starlets or girls who are indecent or who have checkered backgrounds. Fellows, look deeper and go beyond what your eyes can see because you might be surprise that the person whom you think is fit to become our leader is not at all ideal to become our president. Look at Gibo in a different view, not as gma’s pet. just take a look, listen then think deeply. You might just change your mind. If my friends and i had a change of heart after closely weighing our options as an electorate, i believe that in the last 2 mins. GIBO can make it to malacanang. And i am praying for that too. Our country needs somebody like GIBO!!! — —Just sharing you my thoughts.

  • ruel yanga

i am for bro.eddie…not only me but my entire family will support bro.eddie, we are not member oh JIL, but one thing i know, I AM A FILIPINO! this is why we longed for good leader to govern good goverment. and that will be possible if a leader is God fearing and anti-corruption……we dont know bro.eddie, but i belive in his political will with the full guidance of the lord….sabi nila WAG daw idamay ang diyos sa politica.WAG daw gamitin ang pangalan ng diyos sa pangangampanya, but one thing also i know God really wnt to take over our economy our nation our people all we have to do is to belive in him to put our full trust in him…..God bless the philippines

  • Gil

    Dear XXX,

You have had a chang of heart from Noynoy to Gibo. That makes me think you still have a long way and make a choice for Bro Eddie instead.

Don’t take chances Let’s go for Bro Eddie. He is what our country and our people need.

I and my family won’t only vote for bro Eddie, we will campaign for him till the end for free. We do it for God and for country. BABANGON NA ANG PILIPINAS!

By the way next time, your name please!! Thanks!

    GOD BLESS THE PHILIPPINES!!

  • hazel

    I AM FOR BRO EDDIE!!

Why? Because GOD says so. I received a personal Word from Him and I believe that if we truly want to choose the right leader, we should only ask the One who knows what’s best for us!!

Also, God allowed Bro. Eddie to visit our church and speak. And that encounter only confirmed the Word that He gave me.

    I AM FOR BRO. EDDIE!!

It’s time that the shepherd (David) takes his rightful place of honor – being the King/President. From the priestly anointing to the kingly anointing. It’s about time!

ES TU TURNO BRO. EDDIE!! ES TU TURNO PILIPINO!! 🙂

  • andy

    hello ladys and gentlemen

If you love your children and the philippines you must vote for bro. eddie. I love my children and my family of my next generation , therefore me and my entire family vote bro. eddie God bles you all Jesus blessed the philippines

  • Pong

I am also supporting bro. eddie at lahat ng churchmate namin here in abroad.
all of our public officials are mandated by God as I analyze it it’s not a matter of track record or deuction per se. what is lacking in our country is Righteous and Godly Commander in Chief, and I believe bro. Eddie is one! We’ve voted for him last Presidential Elections but it’s not yet time for him.

Lahat naman ng naging presidente natin ay matatalino at may sinabi, one thing that i see that is missing. Fear of God! when you fear God everything follows lalu na sa leadership!

    God bless Philippines!

    hey philippines,,

salamat & GOD BLES Philippines…..may pagasa pa..

The main reason why I’m not voting for the following is traditional politics where political baggage is evident.

w/ due respect but everyone is entitled to his own opinion…

    1. noy noy – hacienda lusita which all of us know is covered by CARP yet the family can’t give it up for the poor farmers. paano nya masasabi na para sya sa mahirap. huge political baggage.

    2. villar – c5… he uses his position to build a major road cutting through his subdivisions. the gov’t spent billions. sa unang tingin maganda, pero look at the background. his properties’ price went up drastically. sino lalo yumaman? huge political baggage.

    3. gibo – gma, he has to protect his former boss from legal attacks later on. – VERY HUGE POLITICAL BAGGAGE

    4. estrada – history will only repeat itself unless he’s a changed man. – huge political baggage.

kaya nga… kay eddie villanueva ako at family ko kasi among the major candidates, sya lang ang walang dalang political baggage. he will only be answerable sa mga pilipino.

and mind you after watching forums, debates… he knows what he’s talking about the country’s situation and his platform of gov’t is clear.

his biggest asset though for me is dahil takot sya sa Dios, takot sya mangurakot. mga ganitong lider kelangan ng ating bansa.

  • -dhex

A good leader is a good follower… I will vote a leader who acknowledge that he cannot perfectly lead a nation without the help of God… who knows not to depend on his own ability but totally depend on God… who uses his authority in righteousness and cling to what is good – for the welfare of his people… who has an intimate relationship with God and knows how to love his neighbor… who knows his authority but above all, considers and recognize the authority which is greater and above him,who is GOD… I am voting for brother Eddie… but it doesn’t mean that he was perfect forthat position… but because he has a perfect God! I do not trust totally in what he can do, but i put my whole trust in what his God can do through him!

“When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily; but with honest, sensible leaders there is stability.” Proverbs 28:2 (The Living Bible)

“A nation without God’s guidance is a nation without order. Happy are those who keep God’s law!” Proverbs 29:18 (Today’s English Version)

“When good people run things, everyone is glad.” Proverbs 29:2 (The Message Translation)

    kaya…
Ako ay para TUNAY NA WALANG KORAPSYUN!

    EDDIE na TAYO!!!

  • John Malachi

Magkakaroon lang ng kasagutan kung hihilingin natin sa Diyos ang tunay na pagbabago ng ating bansang Pilipinas at kung tayong mga dumadalangin ay mga matuwid. God bless po!

The LORD is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
    Proverbs 15:29

  • Lanie de Guzman

AKO AY PARA KA BRO. EDDIE… Bakit? I think 1 year is more than enough para patunayan ni Bro. Eddie na ang bansang ito ay pamamahalaan niya ng malinis at marangal dahil siya ang tunay at nag-iisang kandidato na may takot sa Diyos at tunay na nagmamahal sa bayan wala ng iba pa.

    VILLANUEVA-YASAY… EDDIE PERFECTO!!!
