Is Paid Post Bad for Your Blog?

Posted on July 15, 2010March 4, 2017 by MOMMY RUBY

So, are paid post really bad for your blog? Well, as for me I think paid post are not entirely BAD for your blog if you just keep it very personal. What do I mean by that? Here is an example, if you are assigned to make a paid post, make it personal as possible. Use the keyword(s) assigned to your blog and make a post where you can relate it to your everyday life or any experiences that you had. But there are times when the keyword(s) assigned to you has nothing to do with you or what you have experienced, that is when you make a serious post, do research and all.

Now, the next question is, since you said “not entirely bad” what makes paid post bad for your blog? Well, if you constantly publish paid posts that are not personal, then you will lose your readers who visit your blog just because of who you are. They go away because they are not getting any information about your life and all in which they are interested in. So that means, you will lose genuine and reoccurring traffic. Secondly, constantly publishing paid post will slowly diminish your Page Rank if you have one. So I suggest you make posts without outgoing links from time to time if you want to keep your PR.

And as for my say on this matter, I don’t say paid posts are bad. They are good for me because it makes this mommy earn descent and legal money from home. I don’t get to have a boss aside from my husband and kids (LOL), no more bundy clock, no more traffic and no more outside of the house pressure. So, I always welcome them in my blog!

And guess what?! This is not a paid post. LOL!!

i kinda think twice about a blog when i see an obvious paid post. even though the blogger just uses the keywords and relate it to his/her life, somehow, the experience of reading a blog changes. the manner of how the blogger writes also changes and i get the impression that somehow it’s not that sincere anymore.

but it’s the blogger’s choice if she wants to do it or not. you’re right, paid posts pays the bill and not all bloggers have the opportunity to always get invited to events. paid posts also allow them to provide unique content in the blogs and don’t have to worry where to get the next topic.

that’s true! that’s why paid posts work for bloggers in other parts of the country. they don’t have much opportunities for events/product launches, etc.

i wonder though if companies still get in touch with “provincial” bloggers for product reviews/samplings since it doesn’t cost much to send samples.

I don’t know much on paid blogging but I’m pretty sure that it makes good income.
