Richard Garriot, the creator of the Tabula Rasa Video Game and being the sixth private citizen to travel into space, will be conducting Operation Immortality: Leave your mark. Save Humanity. This is a once in a lifetime event of storing the following data into the archive of the International Space Station this coming October 2008. The data includes a history of humanity’s greatest achievements, select digitized human DNA from the game players and personal messages or mottos from all over the world. You can join Operation Immortality by submitting your suggestions for humanity’s greatest achievements, leaving your own message or motto for the universe or registering yourself for a chance to have you DNA sent to space.
Since I am one of those people who likes to participate in such unique events, I participated by leaving my own message or motto. My motto is stored with Message ID 447 which says “It’s better to lose your pride than to lose someone you love because of it.” I have chosen this one because pride has become the usual cause of mankind’s downfall. We wage war because of pride. We have broken families because of pride. I firmly believe that losing our pride is the key to every man’s happiness. Mankind would live harmoniously and happily, if we don’t allow it to overcome our personal lives.
If you want to be a part of this, please visit OperationImmortality.com and don’t forget to check out my motto too, that’s Message ID 447! Hoping to see yours there too.
