One of my friends who worked as a seaman told one of his many adventures while on sea. He shared the story about their bout being pursued by real modern day pirates. He said, their captain ordered full speed so that they would not be caught by the pirates who asks money and steal goods from their ship.
As he was sharing the story, I kept on thinking if these pirate cases can be persecuted by a Maritime Lawyer. I mean they do their crimes at sea, so they should be punished by sea related laws right? Any idea?
