As a direct selling manager before, I have taught many house wives to excel in their chosen direct selling business. Many of them can now be called Nouveau Riche or in plain English “new rich.” Plain house wives have earned additional income for the family or replaced salary-based income. But I don’t take credit for that because I only shared to them stories about successful people who were once poor and now are rich. One of my favorite success stories was of Manny Villar. He was once a lad who grew up in a very overcrowded neighborhood in Tondo and would help his mom sell seafood in Divisoria. As he was curious, he observed the Chinese traders on how they are successful from sales. He grew up and studied Business Administration and failed his first business at the age of 22. By the age of 25, he started a gravel and sand business from a borrowed capital. On the next year, he ventured into constructing houses. For short, he earned his first million at the age of 26. He became a successful Realtor and now is a successful senator. And the other one that I don’t miss sharing to them was of Ray Kroc of McDonald’s Company. He started McDonalds at his late 50’s and now…you can see his fast food chain all over the world sold as a franchise.
With this in mind, I have started to explore the option of why not teaching myself to become a Nouveau Riche someday. There are a lot of things to be considered to become one but if they can do it…surely everybody can!
