Parents and School Time

Posted on June 21, 2012August 5, 2012 by MOMMY RUBY

School time has begun this June here in the Philippines.

Parents are now busy again in overseeing the kids sent to school as well as all the other expenses that go with sending one’s kid to school. Aside from the tuition costs, fare or fuel expenses to bring the kids to school and back home also have to be factored in. We haven’t even started talking yet about the books, other school supplies and yes, other school projects. But I think that in the end, what matters to every parent is that their kid gets the best education and school materials that they could afford.

When a parent also sends their child even to nursery school, most of them would view it as something which is as important as sending their kid to grade school. They are excited to see the school and the classroom setting as well as the school facilities and equipment. I even remember one parent telling me a couple of years back that he and his wife take note of the kind of nursery rugs used in the school!

The good news for any school and every parent is that some of the best learning materials and equipment can now be purchased online. Like those rugs, that those parents talked to me about. These can be accessed online: Nursery rugs – www.edusentials.co.uk.

School time is a challenge, I guess, to all parents. But I think it’s a challenge they are always willing to meet for the sake of the future of their children.

Education is like an investment too. That’s what I realized when my son started schooling. Hate that I took for granted my parents and didn’t take school seriously.

Nursery is very important because this is where it all starts. This is where the kids get their first impression of what school is.
