Speaking about celebrating the longest Christmas celebration here in the Philippines, Pinay Mommy Online decides to support Cadiz City, Negros Occidental to win Kraft Eden Cheese’s Sarap ng Pasko: 100 Days of Christmas.

Here is a little fact about the City of Cadiz:

Cadiz city is a major sugar-producing area here in Negros Occidental. This is in turn transported to nearby Victorias City for further refining. Another major source of livelihood is the harvest of seafood. A common “Pasalubong” when you go to Cadiz is the “Uga” and other fish produce at where locals call as “Punta”, in Cabahug Street, Barangay Zone 6. The City also houses WW II Memorial Wall, a monument for those who figured prominently in the liberation of Negros from the Japanese Imperial Forces. A memorial wall that serves as a sidewall to the Cadiz City Public Plaza, it is a tribute to all war veterans who fought against the invaders during the World War II.

Cadiz City has a geographical area of 515km2 with a population of 26,998 people. The city has 22 barangays and their main source of living is farming, fishing, and sugar harvesting. The people speak in Hiligaynon mainly and can speak Tagalog and Cebuano too!

The city of Cadiz is known for LAKAWON Resort, a white sand island resort some three (3) kilometers off the coast of Barangay of Cadiz Viejo, the all new Cadiz City Library, Laura’s Seafront Beach Resort with its majestic Olympic-size swimming pool and Busac-Busac Spring in Brgy. Tinampa-an which is the main source of potable water in the city.
