Preparing When You’re Expecting

Posted on June 25, 2012December 6, 2013 by MOMMY RUBY

Every child is a gift from God, regardless how the child got to exist. Moral standards have been set, that a child should come from a mother and father wed to each other. Otherwise, there will be consequences. Nevertheless, whatever situation the parents got themselves into, the child cannot do anything about it and should never be blamed in cases of unwanted pregnancies. As the mother, you are given the responsibility to care for and love that child unconditionally.

Ok, you are expecting. What do you do to prepare? First and foremost, you take care of yourself. Eat healthy so your child will also be absorbing the nutrients you eat. Lessen the sugar intake because it will easily make the fetus bigger that it will be more difficult to deliver normally. Avoid smoking at all cost. That also means second hand smoke because it is more dangerous than smoking yourself. Avoid alcohol and as much as possible, any medication. Consult your doctor for medications that are fine while pregnant. Do exercise to strengthen yourself. Especially during the last trimester you should be walking often to make normal delivery easier. Last but not the least, prepare the bag you need to grab when it’s your time to deliver.

You should prepare not just physically but also emotionally and mentally.
