I was privileged to receive a unique watch last year. I say unique because it is not an ordinary watch you can see everyone wearing every day. Though at first glance you may say it’s just a normal watch but if you take a closer look, you will find it as one of a kind.
So, let us take a closer look at this one of a kind watch that I am telling you.
Here is a little background. JORD is a Swedish word meaning earth, soil or land. As their name suggests, they create inspiring timepieces that are guided by their deep appreciation for natural elements and modern design thus they use the intricacy and multiplicity of wood. JORD Wood Watches uses glass and stainless steel but as for their casing, lug ends and band, they use prime quality wood for them.
They have various designs and different classes of woods for their watches. As for me, I received a 746 Series in Black which is a limited edition. They limited the production so that 746 owners will have a timepiece that is not only unique, but rare. And luckily, I am one of them!
746 Series in Black has a deployment buckle with push button. It is made with a scratch resistant mineral with a Seagull Automatic Movement (TY2807) – 21 Jewels. Physically it has a case width of 47mm and case thickness of 13mm and as for the lug ends, it’s at 50mm, band length at 221mm, and band thickness at 25mm.
Since my wrist is small, I had mine adjusted to fit just right. And since 746 Series are a bit bulky in design, it is kind of heavy but physically tolerable for me.What I like about the product is its uniqueness and quality. I have been using it for almost a month now and I can say it is durable. Thought it is kind of heavy for many, I still like how it looks on my wrist and how it fits to almost anything I wear. I can wear it during casual, punk and even formal occasions. All in all, I like my 746 Series JORD Wood Watch.
FYI: All JORD Wood Watches are designed to be splash proof but are not intended for complete submergence in water. And since it is made of wood, timepieces may have different colors and grain pattern from photos.
