When I was a kid, one of the things I wanted to become when I grew up was a cashier. Why? Simply because I wanted to experience what it felt like punching on those keys on the cash register. One of the simple joys of my life then was to go with my parents to the department store and when it’s time to pay, I would stand on tip-toe because I want to catch a glimpse of the cashier and her register. You can’t blame me. After all, I think most kids really go through that phase.
Maybe there are still some kids in these modern times who wish to work at the cash register. Well, considering how sophisticated a Retail POS System is these days, some are incorporated with the touch-screen technology, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if one of my daughters tells me she wants to be one in the future.
Anyway, just so you know, I became a cashier for three months! 😉
