Pews are commonly known for being part of the church building. It is where church goers sit. It fills the whole room. Nothing else can be done when the pews are there. Church groups these days are more practical for using church stacking chairs instead. It is easier to clean the hall by having them all in a corner so the floor can be swept and mopped. The space can also be used for other activities where chairs should be out of the way. Special programs are usually presented annually. The space can be used as practice stage for different parts.
