The Philippines has been hit by so many typhoons in recent years that many areas have been flooded. Despite the many happenings, it seems that the government actions have been reactionary.
There is really a need to prepare the people for such eventualities. We need more information dissemination but we also need a storm shelter in each of the flood prone areas so that people have somewhere to go just as soon as the water rises. We have lost so many lives already. We have to protect our people.
While we really could not do much about property because even the biggest mansions have been flooded, but at least we can protect out fellowmen.
