Ever since my house help left me last June 1, 2009, my best friend Mae has been there for me. She helped me in every way she can while I was pregnant and until now that I have given birth to Baby Bella. I can’t express how thankful I am that God have given her to me as a best friend here in Bacolod City.
Anyway, though she doesn’t asks anything for in return, I tried to give her gifts to express my gratitude in terms of material and monetary mediums since she doesn’t have any work right now. But somehow, I felt deep inside that her goodness to me and my family is far more beyond gifts can ever compensate with that is why I decided with my husband’s knowledge that I am going to help her go back to school.
My best friend finished high school but was not able to pursue college because of financial problems with their family. So, my husband and I decided that we will help her study a two year course (i.e., software development or programming offered by local computer schools) or any TESDA program she likes to undertake (i.e., she wanted dress making course or cosmetology). At least this way, we can help change the course of her life the way she did to our family. Her love for my mom and my children is beyond compare that even sending her to school is not enough.
As of now, I am browsing for more information on any two year courses and available TESDA programs. We are planning to start this October in time for the second semester. Hope she finds something she likes available for enrollment!
You are blessed to have such a friend.
