The Advantages of Package Holidays

Posted on October 2, 2011March 29, 2020 by MOMMY RUBY

If you were to ask me if I would prefer to travel on my own or choose a holiday package, I’d choose the latter. There are many advantages to holiday packages. For one, it encompasses everything, from plane flights to airport and hotel transfers. Then there are packages where food and drinks, ground transportation, equipment rental, and guides are already included. Choosing a holiday package is also one way to save since you wouldn’t have to pay for individual items anymore like your plane ticket and hotel accommodation. You also save yourself from unnecessary stress that may be brought about by the hassles of taking care of the bookings yourself.

One other advantage of package holidays is that you can go on exclusive outings or take part in special activities which may otherwise be difficult to book if you were making the travel arrangements on your own. For instance, in Australia, winery tours are very popular. In a winery tour, you will be taken to one of the famous wineries in the country, and you will be able to take explore the place, its facilities, and also have a taste of the best wine it has to offer. Tours of the many wine regions in Australia would cost a lot if you were to arrange this yourself. But through holiday packages, you just need to pay a single price, and you can hop from winery to winery in one whole day.

Basically, there are two main types of holiday packages, all-inclusive and non-inclusive. As the name suggests, all-inclusive packages will include airfare, airport transport services, accommodations, and other expenses such meals, tour fees, and a lot more. Non-inclusive packages will only consist of airfare, accommodations, and airport transfer service. You basically have a free hand in choosing which one you’ll choose. But since you will be taking the holiday to unwind and have fun, the first package will be your perfect choice.

I used to do package holidays, but recently did the “seperates” option and rented a villa and bought flights. I have to say I prefer the seperates option, the place was much quieter and nice than typical package deals.
