The Day of The Needle

Loading

I will never forget April 11, 2012. It was the day I got 7 (seven) needles injected/poked into my body: two of which were for pain relievers, one to attach the dextrose, two for skin testing and the other two for blood samples. It was a painful and crazy day! And yes, I was admitted to the hospital because of the pain I was experiencing.

gallstones

To make the long story short, I was admitted last April 11 to 14 and from that I discovered that I have gallstones. I was expecting I will have some kidney complications because of my salty and cola lifestyle so I did my very best to prevent this by trying to drink plenty of water and cranberry juice. But little did I know that my fatty food eating rampage would be the cause of my pain and hospital admission. SAD but an awakening too!

My attending doctor advised for open surgery because I have a swollen gall bladder and my gallstones are a lot but since I don’t have enough money for this. I opted to get discharged. We are also seeking for a second opinion as soon as possible hoping that there are other alternatives aside from surgery. I hoped that medicines or any alternative herbal medicines will dissolve these gallstones I got. So for the mean time that I haven’t got a final decision on surgery, I am starting to change my diet to prevent further attack.

So to all my friends, especially those who are living the same blogging lifestyle I have, aside from drinking a lot of water, stay moderated on fatty foods. I admit, most of my favorite foods are fatty. 🙁

Sis I do hope you get really better soon. Ang sakit ng skin test no? I hope you don’t need surgery. When we get sick that’s when we realize how important health is and how we need to change our eating habits so we can still be with the ones we love for a very very long time. I wish you that. *)

get well soon sis. if you want a natural medicine then you can try listening to helaing galing program at 92.3 news fm (sat: 6-8am and sun: 10am-12pm). kung alam mo un taheebo or balbas pusa un ata un nakakapagpalabas ng stones sa katawan saka they have this calcutabn, it is all natural and you will not require to go on surgery.

Try Maye’s recommendation, I listen to her radio program weekly.. But with my experience, I tried the liver and gallbladder cleansing of Remnant Health Care Center. They get featured in Salamat Dok from time to time. It really helped me relieved from my pains and now my bowel is regular. They are located in Anita Building, Timog Avenue. Get well soon 😀

Ouch, i feel for you. I had my gallstones removed some 8 years ago and the scars are ugly! Hope you can find an alternative method to surgery because it really is different when an organ is missing from your body. Buti na lang my company health card covered my surgery because it was painful na sa body, painful pa sa wallet. if you have any questions, just let me know. Good luck!

Get well soon, Mommy Rubz. we have the same problem. i was diagnosed of multiple gallstones last October, undergone all the test needed for surgery. But the doctor rescheduled my operation several times. Good thing that through diet, and drinking lots of apple juice relieved the pain. I have read about the Apple Juice and Epsom Salt cleansing diet, effective daw. pero di ko pa na-try.

my mom tried the apple juice and olive oil naman. 1tbsp of olive oil and 1 glass of Mott’s apple juice for colon cleansing nmn sya.. nowadays tlga kahit 25 or 30s palang, we should be careful of what we eat.. again get well soon Mommy Ruby. i will include u in my prayers.

Naku I’m afraid too coz ma junkfoods pa naman ako. But nag lie low na ako this past year still I miss it from time to time. 🙁
Masakit daw sa bulsa yan. My kumare din may health card siya for 65k lang ang limit but ang surgery umabot ng 170k! 🙁
Kaya nga yan ang kinakaba ko kasi wala tayong healthcard esp. now pati asawa ko freelancer na rin.
Anyway, get well soon Mare. Try alternative methods muna and maybe your gall bladder can recover pa.

Sis good to know that you have updated your blog na, it means at least you are feeling better kahit paano.
I’m also guilty of doing this because of the tasks we have to do everyday, palagi pa naman nakaupo since puro online stuff iniintindi natin. Please take some more time to rest and I really hope you get well soon.
