The Tale of the First Time Blogger

Loading

I was searching in the internet for ways to beautify my blog. I cam across some free templates and downloaded. There were many beautiful templates that I loved to try…combine colors and columns. So, I tried my very best to use these by following all the instructions. And to my amazement! I lost all the things I have worked for the past few days.I couldn’t believe my eyes. My blog was gone! All I can see was all the codes that I really (honestly) don’t understand. I was about to cry. Being a first time blogger for a few days and I have been victimized by my own curiosity! I was starting to panic when I couldn’t see my “layout guide” anymore. That’s the only thing that I really treasured the most when using “BLOGGER.” It’s the thing that I appreciate compared to other blogsites I have been with.

Anyway, I wanted to write about this, just to share the horror of losing your first blogsite makes me scared and laugh at the same time. Maybe some of you here experienced this kind of horror in your blogging days. To be honest, I am not that technically inclined with codes and whatever they use to create good blogsites but definitely, I thank God for the good people who crated ways to make blogging easy for everybody,

Well, yes, I was able to find ways to get my blog back but surely…you will be seeing the same look for the next few months until I get the hang of it.

I felt stupid though. But I felt thankful for the experience. You will never learn to appreciate something until you loss it. Just like any other thing or person.

I hope you smiled when reading this. It was meant to make you laugh!

I can relate to you. I do not have any close friend who blogs so I used to spend hours learning how to customize my blogs. I even experienced deleting one folder in my cpanel and seeing my site blank. The experience pays though because you got to learn more than what you expect to know. Cheers to blogging 🙂
