If you notice, most people of today are living the “fast-paced life.” They want to do everything instantaneously. Before, they wash their hands to get it clean while today, they just use tissue to wipe their hands or clean themselves. They think tissues are OK as washing with clean water. But little did they know, that tissues could not prevent spreading of disease-causing germs. Sometimes, if unclean tissues are left unattended, they can worsen the case.

Because of this, Safeguard, the leading bath soap in fighting germs, is actively giving out Sneeze n Sniffles tissues (a fictional brand) to people all over the country to help spread the campaign of frequent hand washing. These tissues looked like ordinary ones outside but once you open the box, it has faces of sick children on it. Giving these tissue boxes out to the populace aims to remind us that using them to clean up is not enough. We need to wash our hands to prevent spreading disease-causing germs.
Speaking about preventing disease-causing germs from spreading, I always make sure we have Safeguard soap at our bathroom and at our kitchen lavatory where we wash our hands before and after eating. I believe Safeguard can help prevent spreading of disease-causing germs and viruses in our house.
My children are asthmatic. Most of them will experience an attack when they undergo strenuous activities or get exposed to cough and colds. That is why I always make sure that an attack is prevented than curing it. So, I told my children that they should do frequent exercise (to build up strength) and wash their hands to prevent germs from spreading.

As you can see, my children and I are advocates of frequent hand washing. We attended the Global Hand Washing Day last October 15, 2010 at SM City Bacolod. I even demonstrated how to hand wash properly.
How about you? Are you an advocate of frequent hand washing??
Yes I do, I always make sure all the kids at home washed their hands before I let them eat, even the very young one that is two years old. And of course it’s safeguard, our soap since I was small.. 🙂
ahihihihi…. as in no one can eat without washing their hands… hahaha… korek! safeguard ang walang kamatayang sabon… hehe..
yep i am.. i always tell my son to wash his hands before eating, before playing… we always make it a point that both my hubby and i make good examples for him.
