1. Register a Smart Money account via your Smart mobile phone.
Smart Menu » Smart Money » Choose any transaction from the list » Enter your desired W-PIN » Re-enter W-PIN and press OK » Choose Get Account, press OK » You will receive a confirmation message with your Smart Money Account.
2. Apply for Smart Money Card.
Go to the nearest Smart Wireless Center, bring a valid ID and fill up a Smart Money application form or apply online. Note: You have to pay P30 for the processing fee of your Smart Money Card if you applied offline and P100 if you applied online.
3. Your Smart Money card will be delivered to your specified address after 3 days within Metro Manila, 7 if provincial. For applications received online, a Smart representative will call you for verification and ask your preferred wireless center location for card pick up.
4. Activate your Smart Money Card and deposit P500 (minimum amount you can deposit in your card).
5. Link your Smart Money Card to your Smart mobile phone.
Smart Menu » Smart Money » Activate Card » Enter you card number » Name your card » Enter Card/ATM PIN » You will receive a message stating that you have successfully activated your card
6. Now that you have your working Smart Money Card with you, it’s time to activate your Paypal.
Login to your Paypal account or register here if you don’t have yet. Click ‘Get Verified’.
7. Fill up the form. Make sure to unlock your Smart Money for Online Transactions before clicking ‘continue’. Confirm your card.
To unlock: Smart Menu » Smart Money » Internet Txns » Unlock » Choose the name you entered in Step 5 » Click OK » Enter your W-PIN
Notes:
- The name of your Paypal should match the name of your Smart Money.
- Choose ‘MasterCard’ for card type.
- Enter your card number (5299 77-).
- Expiry date can be found on front of your Smart Money Card.
- Security Code is on the back side of your Smart Money Card.
8. You’ll receive a text coming from Smart Money with your EXPUSE code. With that, you will also be charged $1.95 to your Smart Money Account. Don’t worry, Paypal with refund it within 24 hours.
10. Enter your expuse code. Your $1.95 will be refunded to your Paypal account. Make sure to unlock Internet Transactions from your smart menu every after transaction you make.
11. Congratulations! You are now verified!!
NOTE: Your Smart Money Card cannot be used to withdraw your Paypal funds. Will have a follow-up tutorial on how you can withdraw it (SOON!).
