Smartphone manufacturer Vivo, one of the world’s top five, invited selfie-loving guests to the Solaire Resort and Casino in Paranaque City last November. The occasion? Vivo launched its V5 smartphone in a grand event that highlighted the phone’s redefining selfie capabilities, in addition to other cool and interesting features.

Vivo’s V5 In A Nutshell
Vivo’s newest baby is the Perfect Selfie smartphone. Apart from its fast performance, its front facing camera boasts of the best specs: a 20-megapixel Moonlight camera that comes with a ½.78” Sony IMX376 camera sensor, plus a f/2.0 aperture and a 5P lens system.
The V5’s selfie capabilities allow you to take high-quality selfies even in low light conditions, no matter where you are and what time of the day it is. This is because of its front facing soft light flash that was built specifically to illuminate whatever or whoever your subjects are. With this technology, you won’t have to worry about finding your best angle. With Vivo’s V5, any angle is the best angle. It is definitely an innovation that selfie lovers of any age will love.
Additional Upgraded Features
Its front facing camera is not the only thing that sets the V5 apart from other smartphones. The V5 also boasts of high-quality useful features that are quite unique.

During the launch, it was also announced that a device designed to supplement the V5 will be coming out soon. While it will still be at 5.5 inches, this enhanced version known as the Vivo V5 Plus will have a 1920×1080 display. In addition, it will be powered by a dual front facing cameras with a 20-megapixel shooting power. This will give users the ultimate selfie experience.
Stephen Curry and Vivo
Another highlight of the evening was the announcement that well-loved NBA player Stephen Curry just became Vivo’s newest family member. The Golden State Warrior point guard is the newest face of the smartphone brand. Curry is joined by local social media influencers Verniece Enciso and Mccoy de Leon. The basketball star expressed his excitement in working with Vivo.
The Vivo V5 and V5 Plus are now available here in the Philippines. As previously stated, the V5 is priced at an affordable Php12,990. The V5 Plus, on the other hand, can be yours for Php19,990.
