Coming by with old photos of me is quite hard. While I was growing up, it was evident to me that we weren’t rich. We are blessed to have free shelter and food to eat on a daily basis. Though I went to a private school, paying on time was another story. I didn’t get anything that I wanted but definitely, I had what I needed. (So, I am very grateful for that!)
And because we weren’t rich, taking pictures was expensive. If you take pictures, you still need money to develop those photos. So basically, if you want a memory of something, you need to shell out some money.
Good thing, I have old photos from my cousins. They have taken pictures while I was there with them during the summer. And some of the old photos they shared where I am present is here…
First time to join Flores de Mayo with cousins in Manila.
I am very thankful to my aunts for all these memories they kept of my cousins. Thanks to that I get to be included. Each of these photos gave me a glimpse of a memory that once upon a time I might forget. Hopefully, these will serve as lasting memories for me to remember when the time comes.
We have pictures of our own but some of them were lost along the way. The home where I grew up had floods when the rain poured hard. So most of our them were destroyed.

I noticed that short hair looks good on you. You look like Bella on the second photo.
I noticed that, too! Both my daughters looked like me when I was younger. I think puberty will mess around and change their faces. Hahaha…
We didn’t have money either and pictures were reserved for special occasions. I kind of like that though as these days everyone takes pictures of pretty much everything and they don’t feel so special anymore. Lovely of your aunt to share these wonderful photos with you. I am sure you treasure them very much!
These are such great photos! It’s always nice to look back on older photos. I need to pull out some albums and do this!
Great old photos. I love seeing these old photos of people from when they were young. Thanks for sharing. Maybe I will also do a post like this soon.
It’s always heartwarming to look at old photos and reminisce the memories. I was just looking at an old picture of me and my siblings yesterday. Missed those days when we were little.
I love looking back on old photos. It has always been one of my fave things to do. I’m a sucker for nostalgia!
Photos really are treasures. I just found an app that lets me use my phone to digitize slides and I’m having fun seeing photos I’ve never seen before.
These photos are so cute. Great memories! I should find mine and remember the old times!
