Planning a Perfect Weekend Getaway with Your Family

A time with your family is very precious especially if you have a usually busy schedule with work or business. Therefore, you should do your best to make it special and memorable. You may be working all day during weekdays so it is best to save your weekend for the family. Here are some ideas to help you plan the perfect weekend getaway with your dearest loved ones.

  1. Picnic at the Park – if you do not have much budget and enough time to prepare, a simple picnic at the park can do the trick. It is an instant mood-enhancer that will make everyone happy. So get the best prams for your babies, prepare your picnic basket and bring some board games, books or badminton rackets to enjoy your picnic at the park. Of course, do not forget to bring your camera to take lots of pictures.
  2. Beach Getaway – who doesn’t love a trip to the beach? It is perfect for both kids and parents. You will be able to forget about stress and problems. So make sure to squeeze in a beach getaway for the family during your free time.
  3. Out of Town Trip – it is also a nice idea to go out of town. You can bring the kids to toy stores which will surely make them ecstatic and you may visit some theme parks and shopping malls. Go shopping for new clothes, shoes and treat your family to a nice restaurant and eat your favorite foods. It will be a lot of fun for sure.
  4. Trip Abroad –if you have extra budget and a few days to spare, you may want to make things a little extra special for the family. Go for a trip abroad and visit new places. It will be a good bonding moment for the kids. They will remember these trips for the rest of their lives. You can do this once or twice a year. So make sure to save money for these out of the country trips.
  5. BBQ Party at Home – Lastly, another idea for a perfect family bonding weekend is to go for a BBQ Sunday at home. Invite your friends and other relatives and just enjoy good food and good company. This is a simple idea but it will never fail to make your day special.

You do not really need to spend a lot to make your family trip a special one. Just spending the time with your loved ones, forgetting about work or other problems, is enough to make it memorable and special. It is important to show to your kids especially while they are growing up that you put family as your top priority in life. Do not let them feel like you have no time for them. That’s why you should continuously make an effort to come up with ideas for your weekend family bonding. Also, make sure that you will leave work in the office and don’t mention it when you are having fun with your family.

For a little girl me the most important thing was to have some water without rush. Beach was my favorite but pool was fine too. It’s not always about the money. However it is nice to explore new places the nearby beach worked fine too! 🙂

A beach getaway sounds like a great idea for me and my family. Especially with summer coming up. We all enjoy the ocean and sand. Hopefully we get there soon.

My family and I usually have out of town trips then we make sure we travel international at least once a year. It was tricky planning it actually because my sister is still at school. And well, I am usually the one assigned creating our itinerary and such. haha! And I agree.. family time is very special indeed. 🙂
